Guest Dumdidum Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 And is there a folder "Smartphone 2002" in "C:Windows CE Toolswce300MS Pocket PCtemplates"?
Guest jmechan Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Please feel free to verbally beat me into a pulp. I appear to be extremely hard of thinking. I forgot that my laptop is set up with the system drive as D:, not C:. Silly silly me. I apologise for wasting your time. But if you happen to be programming a version that allows an entered path...please let me know...!!! Thanks so much...
Guest Dumdidum Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Ah ok! I will add your requested feature tonight or tomorrow!

Guest JingJing Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 Hi everybody! I have automated the hack, so you only have to start my tool and it does all for you! before starting my tool, install embedded visual tools 3.0 and PocketPC 2000 SDK to the default folder (don't change folder destination!) then start my tool and after that you can start programming!!!!! http://www.mysunrise.ch/users/rutten_sven it is possible that it does not work, but it did on my 2 PCs, so give it a try! Hey! just cant understand the link, is it in french? can I have an english link for me to download pls?
Guest Dumdidum Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 Sorry it should be english but the placed my homepage at another server! LINK IS HERE: http://homepage.sunrise.ch/mysunrise/rutten_sven/ BUT the file is not online.... I will have a look at it...!

Guest lspatricio Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 hey guys! I got eVB working by "hacking" Pocket PC 2002 SDK, instead of PPC 2000 SDK. I saw the steps posted on the forum at www.airfagev.com . Tried it and it's really working. If you're interested, you can take a look at that post on this site
Guest jmechan Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 Hey Dumdidum, Tried it with the new version but it's still not playing ball. Sorry, Jon
Guest Dumdidum Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 Hm, strange! i have 5 persons reporting that it works! Still File not found?
Guest jmechan Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 Yep. What file is it looking for? I'll quadruple check that it's there...
Guest Dumdidum Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 Ah I know the error! I think that you don't have your windows-installation on c:windows, have you? I'll fix it in 10 minutes...
Guest Dumdidum Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 Ok I have fixed it...! Try again! Thanks for your trial&error report  Now it should definitly work... at least I hope :D
Guest jmechan Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Thank you! Okay, well. Hmmm. It installs, and runs the prog now. But...well, there's still no smartphone project option in eVB when I launch it. I must be doing something wrong. Maybe I'll step through the manual process this weekend and see if I can get it going that way. Cheers, J
Guest gawain Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 I am on E200 and get Application Error - Error - Cannot find extension file Forms Data. Please run setup to restore this file. Can you help Sven?
Guest abs Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 Anyone know how to get sounds play in eVB? I'm using: Call PlaySound("SOUNDSnotify.WAV", Null, SND_SYNC) but it comes up with: " variable is undefined: 'SND_SYNC' " any ideas?
Guest abs Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 Notice eVB looks like it's going to be given the chop! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3324471.stm
Guest abs Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 Notice, embedded visual tools 3.0 looks like it's going to be given the chop! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3324471.stm u can still download it from MS but i wonder how long it will be there for.
Guest johncody Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 eVB Whois 1.0 Even though this is a fully functional program, it's main purpose is a technology demo of my hack to eVB so it can be used to create real-world, Internet-aware applications for Smartphones. Please visit www.omnisoft.com for more info. A screenshot can be seen here: http://www.smartphone.net/software_detail....teid=279&id=343 In order for this program to run, you need to first install the eVB runtimes for Smartphone 2002: http://www.omnisoft.com/articles/spevb/eVB...ntimesSetup.exe More eVB apps to come... -John Cody
