Guest paulgibson Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 I got 351 and not had any problems with buzzing at all........ still a happy E200 user :)
Guest The Lostprophet Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 got 352 - doesnt buzz but sounds very echoy sometimes, 150 is fine :)
Guest Rob_Quads Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 I think that every single phone buzzes and more than likely those who think thiers don't just are happy with how it sounds. My phone buzzes and a direct comparison against my old SPV showed it up. A guy i work with has had an E200 for about a month now and said his was not affected at all. I then let him listen to mine and he said his was the same but he was happy with it. I listened to his and it also buzzed. He was just happy to put up with it and so did not really see it as any problem
Guest Toyota-F1.com Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 Can somebody actually record this buzzing sound? If they do, I will actually take out my microphone, attach it to my PC:)
Guest eightacre Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 Phone is HT344........ ....... no problems steve
Guest spacecowboy6982 Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 Replacement phone - no buzzing - HT345D
Guest DancingMatt Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 HT352D and it's being replaced tonight cos it buzzes... that's the second I've returned. Don't remember what the first batch number was. Not only does it buzz/overvibrate etc., but it takes 3 or 4 presses to turn on like the original SPV did, even on a full charge and plugged in. If anything, this second E200 is worse than the first I had, because it's slower as well as the above 2 problems. When I spoke to Orange earlier, and said I was only given a replacement handset and told to keep the battery and charger - rather than swap them for replacements too as I had been instructed - she said it must have been a refurbished handset not the new one I had been promised. Had film on it and everything. Really unimpressed... Still, if the third one tonight buzzes I'll send it back in about 7 days and get another, and frankly keep doing so until I get a good one, a better phone in its place or they recall every bloody one of them...
Guest bikespod Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004    well i'm getting my 5th replacement tonight. Hopefully not a buzzer, but considering its a refurb i'm almost certain it will. Its actually being sent back for a faulty button this time. for what its worth all four so far have had the call quality problem and this one is a HT345D. I'll post how much the new one buzzes if it arrives. update. well it never showed up, system crash apparently. have rearranged for wed. annoying evening wasted. to their credit however orange have authorised a p900 upgrade along with 12 month contract and i can keep the e2. my faith is now restored and i'll be able to wait for the update with a buzz free p9.
Guest Toyota-F1.com Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 Can somebody actually record this buzzing sound? If they do, I will actually take out my microphone, attach it to my PC:) Anybody actually willing to do this?
Guest DancingMatt Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 well it never showed up, system crash apparently. have rearranged for wed. annoying evening wasted. to their credit however orange have authorised a p900 upgrade along with 12 month contract and i can keep the e2. my faith is now restored and i'll be able to wait for the update with a buzz free p9. So after 5 phones and wasted time, you've got a p900 and they're letting you keep the dodgy E200 as well? I'm not going to try for this myself, as I really think you've got a one-off there - but good for you! The ideal is still that the potentially-mighty E200 works in the first place, of course... and the p900 is still a bit chunky but makes a nice gadget I expect. Hell of a deal to make it up to you though. Still doesn't make me forgive them all the problems so far but I bet you're pleased :)
Guest jmcglynn Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 HT351 - completely clear. Although, does anyone else find that the people on the other find it hard to hear you ?
Guest jmcglynn Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 sorry, I submitted before proof reading ! What I meant to say was, Does anyone else find that the person on the other end often says "speak up" ? Not sure where the speaker is on these phones.
Guest bikespod Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 @dancingmatt: pleased I am. In fact they are still replacing the one with the dodgy button, this very evening. So I get to keep a good E200, if it is one?!?! I rekon they have had so many back now that they can't be arsed to get another. :) Nah its because its an upgrade and another 12 month contract. Same thing happened when I chnged from the nokia 7650 to the spv mk1. Edit: will post batch and buzz or not when it arrives. that would be too lucky if I got one that didn't buzz aswell. Edit:346D just as buzzy as the other 4 i've had :-({|= #-o
Guest Toyota-F1.com Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 that would be too lucky if I got one that didn't buzz aswell My first ever one didn't buzz :) Hmmm... Why won't anybody record the buzzing sound?
Guest bikespod Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 @toyota someone did on a thread somewhere, but i couldn't hear it through media player. it just sounds like people are talking through a kazoo.
Guest darthmesh Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Hello. My phone does not BUZZ. It has batch no. HT352.
Guest Cybertronic Posted June 26, 2004 Report Posted June 26, 2004 Mine doesn't buzz and it's HT415 Seems to be the newest batch out of all the replies
Guest Pondrew Posted June 26, 2004 Report Posted June 26, 2004 Woon, have you had the disappearing sd card bug? Where you can't access your storage card or the phone locks up until you pop the sd card out and back in again?
Guest Cybertronic Posted June 26, 2004 Report Posted June 26, 2004 I haven't come acrossed the bug yet, but I use the SD card switcher to save battery :D The phone has crashed a few times randomly :D
