SanDisk 256 won't write to card. HOWEVER, this is my third SPV (original, E200 with buzzing, this) and both of the previous phones used this card with no problems.

I got a Viking 128meg card from dabs.com/uk

It didn't work on delivery. I emailed Viking and they checked and told me I had a multicell SD card. They offered to swap it for a Single Cell card.

This came and it worked fine - straight from the tin.

They swapped it for free and did it quickly. It's nice to know that some companies value their customers

I bought a cheap Dane-Elec 512MB SD Card. It doesn't work.

I can see it in the System Info of the Task Manager, but cannot write.

Does anybody know how to format it?

I have a 256MB PNY (which has a Toshiba stamp on the back) bought from PC World. At first i thought it was reading but not writing in my e200, however it runed out to be the sync & charge usb cable that i was using, which i bought for my original spv. Got it home in the proper cradle and all works fine  slow, but fine :D

UPDATE: please ignore the above - it seemed to be ok but now isn't - i've tried formatting it and starting again but now nothing will copy to it :(
