Guest jamesyuk Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 I have a PQI 1Gb card bought on eBay for £57. Works a treat and the most amazing thing is the speed - apps loads so much faster than with my old 128Mb Toshiba card.
Guest Moria Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 Just bought a Kingston 256mb which does not work! I can't write to it... Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks
Guest bencole45 Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 TwinMOS Secure Digital 1024MB SD-Card, Ultra-X series, 40x It works fine. All my documents and music plus 3 films for night shifts!!! Bought from Komplett.co.uk
Guest clenaghen Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 According to the Kingston website, the i-mate Smartphone 2 (which should cover the qtek and spv phones) will only work with Kingston cards up to 128MB. I believe that the Kingston cards are made by Toshiba, and there are a couple companies that sell these cards under their own name. So, check who the manufacturer is of the card, and if its Toshiba, dont get a card over 128MB. BTW - I purchased a Kingston 512MB and it has problems.... but, for $25, gonna keep it for my MP3 player and get a Sandisk for my 8080.
Guest cato Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 TwinMOS Secure Digital 1024MB SD-Card, Ultra-X series, 40x It works fine. All my documents and music plus 3 films for night shifts!!! Guest element Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 64MB Panasonic, works fine except it sometimes has to be reinserted to read from it.
Guest Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 64MB Panasonic, works fine except it sometimes has to be reinserted to read from it.I have to do the same sometimes. I try and remember to re-insert it when I want to use it as otherwise it can lock the phone. Kingmax 1Gb platinum working fine.. (E200) Thanks LoTu I've just bid for one of these on eBay it's 8 times faster than a standard SD card (60x speed) so worth the extra £5-8 on the top of the regular price.

Guest pizdyetz77 Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 Hi there, E200 SD card - good deal: I posted a while back saying that my friend bought a 512Mb PEAK SD card from my local PC shop and that it worked just fine. Well, we both just treated ourselves to a 1Gb card from the same manufacturer and the same shop. They work perfectly!!! How happy am I to have 3 full films and loadsa MP3s on my phone!!! Goodbye 18month old 128Mb MMC at last! I've got the latest ROM and my mate's running the one before that. They work just fine - reading & writing. Anyway I'm just writing to share the deal with you all. Their standard web price is £53.51 which I think equates to a shop price of £54. I'm not 100% sure on that as we got the two for £98. That's £49 each. I couldn't find cheaper even on the web. If you don't ask - you don't get, so they say. Here's their web address - Priceless Computing As I said in the last post, they do a next day mail order service although this is something I've obviously never used as I live in Glasgow just down the road from them. I also checked with the manufacturer Peak Hardware (although the answer came after we'd bought them) to see if the cards are single or multi-layer and this is what they had to say: Dear G, Thank you for your email and also for choosing PEAKHardware products. The 1GB SD Card you inquired, is single layer. If there are other questions regarding PEAKHardware products, please let us know. We are here to help. In addition, PEAKHardware products also carry by Techfever (http://www.techfever.co.uk/) if you have difficulty to purchase our products locally, I believe they will help you on purchasing our products. Best Regards, ~ The Right Choice ~ Jim Wei Service Manager, Service Dept. PEAKHardware INTERNATIONAL CO.,LTD 4 F, NO.174, Nan-Jing East Road, Sec 2. TAIPEI 104, TAIWAN Tel: +886-2-25098166 Fax: +886-2-25098266 <http://www.peakhardware.com/> [email protected] The cards on sale are the ULTRA version as seen on the PEAK HARDWARE website here I don't really understand all the tekki stuff but I'm assuming that ULTRA is better than standard. Sorry if this sounds like an advert straight from the shop's marketing dept. I can assure you I've nothing to do with them. I just wanted to give something back to the forum. Hope this is of use to you all. GH
