Guest nigela Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 nigela do u have which does Discoverable/Off toggle? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep. Attached. BluetoothToggleDiscoverableOff.zip Nigel
Guest pharma79 Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 This is great . I just think it would be greater if you could assign it directly to home key(i dont use gprs) or any other key like green / back hold mode. Dont get me wrong its already goood and i like it :D
Guest cleanup1000 Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 This utility provides a very quick and easy way to turn Bluetooth on and off. Run it and it will toggle BT from off to on and from on to off as appropriate. The only indications of it working are a) The word BTToggle appears in the title bar at the top of the screen (briefly) :D the bluetooth icon will appear/disappear in the title bar as appropriate. If you use a home screen with the mru plugin or the orange shortcut plugin you can have this easily accessible. Installs a shortcut to Accessories section of start menu. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ex app very good tool and its just what you need on the spv , great on speed dial :)
Guest Mechanicaldan Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 I got the BT Toggle to work on my SMT5600. I just copied the file to the the main Explore screen using ActiveSync, and then clicked an ran it on my phone. You find should find it under the Start/Accessories folder on the phone after it installs. Then it's easy to add the speed dial option. I picked lucky number 7 because Bluetooth rocks! Thanks for the application!!!
Guest mitton Posted August 23, 2005 Report Posted August 23, 2005 It would be great to be able to press a button from the home screen which turns on BT and intiates Activesync connect via Bluetooth. Is this possible with this app?
Guest digital_edge Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 I've also written a Bluetooth toggle app that does on and off (which is what I needed)...I've done a version that switches between off / on / discoverable. It just runs without displaying any UI at all - so as others have suggested, the best way to run it is to add a Speed Dial entry for it (I choose 28 (BT)) for it. I've attached both versions to the message. Unzip the file, then run from the PC over ActiveSync to the device. Note that the apps aren't signed, so you will get a security dialog. BluetoothToggleOnOffDiscoverable.zip BluetoothToggleOnOff.zip Nigel <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi, I am looking for a little utility that will run in the background of my SPV C500 and make sure that Bluetooth is always turned on/discoverable. The reason for this is that I am running TomTom Mobile 5 and when exiting the application, it always turns off Bluetooth !!! (Grrrrr) So far no one has been able to tell me how to keep bluetooth enabled. Can any of these utilities be adapted to such use?
Guest killabee44 Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Mr. Magoo, Great tool! I have an at&t Audiovox smt 5600 unlocked using a Tmobile sim and when I hold down home I get the explorer shortcuts. It would be nice to get the quicklist like many other users get. Im sure its just the way At&t set up their phones, but does anyone know a way to change it to show quick list instead? Thansk. Killabee44
Guest Toyota-F1.com Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Yep. Attached. BluetoothToggleDiscoverableOff.zip Nigel <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Excellent, using this one now. Can I just tell everyone, that for all the time I had my E200, I never ever knew that the phone MUST be on discoverable, I thought that my software was poor (I kept it on the first update because everything else was perfect) so I thought my E200 wasn't capable, but then I got a C500, and after a while fiddling, they became mates and I figured out how!!! That it MUST be on Discoverable.
Guest pelu Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 (edited) Hi. I've a qtek 8100 but when trying to install BT Toggle on the phone I get error message saying that "could not install BTToggle.CAB on the unit". Can anyone assist? Edited January 9, 2006 by pelu

Guest conan_troutman Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 i ahve been using a bluetooth toglle of one kind or another for ages now i love the off discoverable one the most which is what i use I also have two alarm programs that can run applets at set times (autoflight and city time alarms Beta 2.0) which means that my blue toth is switched off at night and on(dicoverable) as I set off to work and all through the day then is switched off automatically. so how a bout a wifi toggle so i can do the same set a timer for on at work of while commuting on at home for say three hours then off for the night. my alarms will do the scheduling if someone can just make the toggler so who's up for it?

Guest baggio4eva Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 Any chance you could develop a BTToggle program for use with the Broadcome / widcomm bt stack? I've got a motorola q sitting here that doesn't work with ur program because apparently it uses a different bt stack :). Any help appreciated! Thanks!
