Do you know if I have the latest ROM or not?

or do I need a newer H ROM

This is taken from KingMobile and the instructions were in Chinese, this is the best i can translate, so pls enjoy it. They claimed quite unstable when adding shortcuts in PointSenseScreen 5 and 6 so i personally only use PointSenseScreen 1 to 3.

I flashed mine with H9 (CSC, EBOOT, PDA) but even if I chose english language
when in landscape mode the numbers come in chinese characters and there is no way to switch back to the english ones
In normal mode sometimes when the keyboard comes on for texting has chinese characters but if I hit the "abc" button to change characters switches back to english characters.
Also I noticed that in landscape mode the keyboard it is much harder to press, half of the times when I press a letter the phone acknowledges it and sounds the typing but the letter doesn't show and I have to press it again and harder to make it show.
Anyone else got this problem ?

Misterno, Previa just told me that I can upgrade to H4/H6 or H9 can you please help me I need instructions on how to flash a omnia II.

I don't know which ROM will work on my Phone.


PDA: I8000XXIH5
CSC: I8000XSOIH1
PHONE: I8000DXIH2

I Know its not a UK Phone, but Prob an International Phone Model.  But can someone point me to the Right ROM please?

Any version can works on your phone ,that should be a"Right ROM". My Omnian ROM version show as below photo.
According your phone information
PDA H5   3H>4H >H6 >H9(per as i know) H5 so far so good
CSC XSOIH1 (difference language only)
Phone DXIH2 ,maybe you can upgrade to H6.
However, this is just my personal comment

Yes, But you can operation with Pro without any cost

Hi guys, i just joined and would like some help please. Having read a few forums i'm not sure what firmware/ROMs I can upgrade to for Windows 6.1, not the secany 6.5 upgrade. I'm in the UK so english speaking.

The Omnia 2 is an international version and is as follows

PDA: I8000XXIG1

CSC: I8000FAMIG2

PHONE: I8000XXIG1

Some tips on what ROMs i should upgrade to would be really good. I will then attempt my virgin Rom upgrade!!

I am soooo confused.  I just got my Omnia II and want to upgrade to WM 6.5.  I've flashed before, but always HTC PDAs.  I don't understand all the different rom versions.  Can any one help me with which files I need and the corresponding instructions for installation?  All I know is that I need an english version rom.

No offence, since as you say you are new here, but there is 3 threads pinned to the mainpage of this forum dedicated to how to flash your phone.  If you search through the thread history there is another 10.  Heck, if you read through this thread there is instructions.  Just read.

As a hint, start with secany's i8000 Rom's thread pinned to the top of this forum.  That has all the WM6.5 Roms.  If you read, you'll learn a lot and save alot of questions which have been answered already about 50 times.

along with Octans and 7zip file manager. Let me know once done and we will begin the process then.
