Guest broughs Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 Downloaded this xml, but the envelope message icon still doesn't work. Has the XML file not been updated yet? Nice to see this homescreen back
Guest broughs Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 Sorry Guys. I should have read the entire post to sort it - reminds me of RTFM !!!!! Sorted now
Guest dreamweavel Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 Re the messaging problem you need to edit the xml and look for the reference to inbox.lnk - that's a small L btw - and change it to messaging.lnk Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest manzonie08 Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 Can we have a E200 skin with no bugs Paul :?:  :P Bugs list : - icon background transparancy fixed is not complete... ... when you go on a web link or on the MRU, the background of the big icon is always gray :D - the envelope message icon doesn't work because .lnk is not the same as a E200 :D - Create a new appointment open settings :!:  It is possible to have the E200 icons on a C500 :?: :? ... I hate the C500 icons :)

Guest NickB&SPV Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 To fix the grey box around the large icons when moving down the homescreen, open the XML in Wordpad and scroll down to the 'iconbar' plug-in. Then look for plugin focus='PARTIAL', follow the line along to half highlight and change the 'COLOR_NOTIFTRAY' to 'transparent' and the grey box on the large icon will have gone!! Guest Pagemakers Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 Anybody else find the clicking the Alarm link 'sometimes' locks to C500 completely. Tested on 2 C500's and I get the same results.
Guest manzonie08 Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 I want the E200 icons on my C500, is it possible :?: :?

Guest Pagemakers Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 A version that we can download on Orange Update in France for the C500  ... compatibility 100% Does the alarm plugin still lock up occasionally?
Guest manzonie08 Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 Does the alarm plugin still lock up occasionally? No problem on my C500  The .xml has been adapted... look it  :) You not have this skin on Orange Update in UK ?
Guest Pagemakers Posted September 26, 2004 Report Posted September 26, 2004 Im not convinced. The Alarm plugin is the same. Look here: Mine: Yours: I have found that clicking the alarm link causes the phone to lockup some times. Friends with the C500 also confirm this problem.

Guest TonyL Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Guys, I've just changed my C500 homescreen back to the C200 - which I very much prefer - and get the error when hitting the SMS/Text icon: "Error - Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename" There was a previous fix mentioned but I haven't found it so here it is courteous of firefly Thanks Tony :)OrangeHomescreen.home.zip
Guest haelios Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Can someone get the new Orange C500 home screen XML off their phone? I can't seem to get it off  I have a C500, and want to modify the default Orange homescreen... Thanks!
Guest scopes64 Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 You will need to APP unlock your phone. check out OTA
Guest scott2eyes Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 Another way around the copy protection is to open it in something like Orneta Notepad on the phone, then save it again. You should then be able to copy the new version with Activesync. Unfortunately, there's not a great deal of customisation that can be done with it. :D
Guest bidul91 Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 Hello, Did someone know how crafty make the icon file "C500 Icons.exe" ? Because I'd like to create my own icons.
