I've got my 2nd battery now.

Depends who you speak to, I have a contact a bit higher up the food chain. Orange can't just send them out as they don't have stock in their accessories warehouse. However, if it's processed as a lost or faulty battery, they have stock for this.

I originally spoke to O CS Upgrades on the 3rd Nov and was promised that a spare battery would be sent out to reach me within a week.

I phoned them again today to be told that the email sent through to the warehouse has 'been picked up'. Only after moaning about the time delay in processing it was I then offered £24.99 credit to my account which would appear on next months bill and advised me to order the battery with a credit card!

The futile is bright...

Has anyone actually got the second battery yet, as above i have been told that i am getting anotherbattery and an order has been sent to the wharehouse but as yet they have not been able to get it dispatched......

They (Orange) are blaming it on the Christmas rush already..........

have made sure that they have it documented on my file........

I had the same reply from them however the reason that the email hasn't been 'picked up' by the warehouse is the memo that has circulated Orange CS stated earlier in this topic... I have just emailed the executive office & cc'd Orange CS... I'll keep you posted....

Orange are up to their tricks again....... phones CS and they are now trying to bluff their way saying that they got a memo to state no second battery is included, to which i pointed out the web site stating different .....

Still waiting to see what happens from Customer Service or the lack of it.........

I also emailed the exec's office complaining about there not being a second battery, and no GPRS monitor. Got a phone call today from a chap in the Exec's office, with the happy news that Orange are sending me another battery out. Nice :)/

He did mention something about downloading software from the O website re GPRS, but I was smiling too much about the battery that I wasn't paying attention. I'm positive there ain't no GPRS monitor software on the O website anywhere....

Contacted so called customer service after being promised a return call which never came.

They have now informed me a month after my initial complaint that I will not be getting a 2nd battery.

Spoke also with a supervisor who took the company line on this but offered to take the phone back and cancel the renewed contract.

You would think that they don't want any customers, so I have sent a letter to the Customer Service Director today.

Will let you know what happens.

p.s. ever hear the recorded message on 150 " Orange value their customers..."

Just got my battery from Orange Exec Office She explained that the advertising was pulled at the beginning of November and that it should never had gone out, but as I had been promised one, she would honour that as a stolen/lost replacement. She also said that for every case that they deal with, a report has to go to the Orange Board on why they had to deal with it, what reccommendations etc. She also said that the demand for the M5000 was far in excess of their supply hence the shortages. She also said that the Exec Office are the final point in the escalation chain. ;)
