Guest kam_ Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 The problem lies with inefficient coding of SkyPe. What exactly are you looking for - To get skype working or any VoIP working with it?
Guest kc1 Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 (edited) ...If only the sp5 had a faster processor, maybe then, it may be able to run skype properley....<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've used skype successfully 5 or 6 times on the sp5 - I can't dial out but using my contacts it dials. Granted its not 100% clear- there is the occasional stutter, but it does work, so I dont think its a processor issue per se. The main reasons I dont use it more are because of the really cumbersome way of launching it and the fact it only works through the speaker phone. Edited February 23, 2006 by kc1

Granted its not 100% clear, there is the occasional stutter, it does work, so I dont think its a processor issue per se. The main reasons I dont use it more are because of the really cumbersose way of launching the ppc version and the fact it only works through the speaker phone. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> mmm, ok would it be possible for us to check we are using the same rom, skype version etc. Do i need any specific hardware to be enabled apart from wifi. also any ideas why i am not able to send voice ?
