Ow! I just made a call and it was engaged...it seems to play the engaged tone through the loudspeaker!

can't find a setting for this...is it just mine?

No, I have found this bug as well on my V1605. After ending the call I have also found that all the sounds are off and the only thing that brings them back is a soft reset.

Blimey. Havent had that on a 3100... There have been changes to WM5's treatment of "engaged" in the various AKU's as WM5 orginally used to simply disconnect without even telling you that it was engaged. Maybe Voda's rom has mucked that up?

Is it actually through the loudspeaker or is it just really loud and irritating? By the sounds of it, its similar to something i've experienced with my old SPV M500, so perhaps its not a new problem.

Seems useful when dialling for concert tickets :D

Yes, through the loudspeaker - and its really loud as you have your phone to your ear! As soon as I cancel the call, all sounds have disappeared.

Just found this info:

To re-obtain the sound you can use the dial pad for the phone and the sound comes back! But be careful as the battery seems to drain very fast afterwards. Still no work-around for engaged tone being sent to the speakerphone.

I have it on my Orange M3100 too. It looks like a long-standing bug, with reports of it going back as far as 2003 (http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=1922 and http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=247381). Presumably the manufacturers never bothered fixing it.

For anyone feeling harrassed by this "feature", here's a workaround: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=250368
