Guest GuyAdams Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 I have posted below what the registry entries look like on my device compared to the XDA Developers post. [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\RTSP] (Default)=URL:Windows Media Streaming Protocol URL Protocol= The value on the v1415 for the above DWORD entry is: (Default) = Value not set [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\RTSP\DefaultIcon] (Default)=\Program Files\PacketVideo\PVPlayer\PVPlayer.exe, 0 I do not have the above 'DefaultIcon' key This I believe to be the key you need: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\RTSP\Shell\Open\Command] (Default)= StreamingPlayer.exe %1 The 'Shell' & 'Open' keys had the usual DWORD value of: (Default) = Value not set Interestingly when I look at [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\3gp] is references another key: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\3gpfile] In this key all entries point to WMPlayer.exe. Below theres a couple of screen captures to make the above less confusing. This is the 3gpfile key: RSTP keys: StreamingPlayer.exe %1 DWORD value: Hope this helps, give me a shout if you need more information. Thanks

Guest GuyAdams Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 Many thx Guy, that was very helpful! BTW: Which registry editor do you use? Can it import registry files? I use Resco Registry editor. It came packaged with Resco SmartPack with includes Resco Explorer, Photoviewer, Screen Capture, Registry Editor and System toys. Here for details: http://www.resco.net/smartphone/smartpack/default.asp Yes it can import / export reg entries. You want me to export the RSTP keys? The only problem ive had with Resco Registry editor is that once when trying to change a system registry entry it 'Access Denied'. Its only ever happened once but when I tried it with regeditSTG it worked fine. I keep both to hand just incase. Thanks

Guest genaldar Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 (edited) The thread over at XDA now has a download link for an install cab in the first post, it works perfect on my wing. Once I'm on wifi that is, I'm on the cheapskate plan so I can't get it over edge. Edited June 27, 2007 by genaldar
