Guest kelvinee Posted March 14, 2008 Report Posted March 14, 2008 I'm not sure, but I think you are still having problems. Could you put a question mark (?) after questions, so we can tell what you want answers to. If you are getting "unregconised internal or external command" then Windows can't find pdocread.exe I created a folder called Touch (on my machine it is D:\Touch) and put Itsme's ZIP file in it, so now I have D:\Touch\itsutilsbin-20070323.zip Then I extracted that ZIP file to D:\Touch\Pagepool Then I ran D:\Touch\Pagepool\pdocread.exe -l It sounds like you just need open a command prompt, then to go to the folder that holds pdocread.exe (CD D:\Touch\Pagepool in my case, yours may be different) before you run pdocread thx a lot chucky with ur guide i reach step 5 but i when i type "pdocwrite part02.8mb.dump" is show ERROR: Unable to open file part02.8mb.dump -the system cannot findthe file specified copyfiletotffs

Guest dprince Posted March 16, 2008 Report Posted March 16, 2008 Thank you Paul for saving me a whole lot of frustration...I just followed your directions and they worked excellently. I was curious though, i changed the page pool size to 4mb on my wing. What gives a higher amount of MB for the program usage, changing it to 4mb or 6mb??
Guest gabriel713281 Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Please, only use this if youare experienced with this kind of thing my phone is now bricked to the fullest degree... dosent even charge....
Guest gabriel713281 Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 WHAT KIND OF BRICK IS THIS THE SCREEN WONT EVEN COME ON AND ITWONT RESPOND TO ANY CHARGE FROM COMPUTER OR WALL!!!!:D :( :( iam devastated
Guest isacandme4vr Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 Hey Paul, Thank you very much for the simple instructions. My question is if i "clear storage" after succesfully changing the pagepool settings to 6mb, will the settings still be in-place??? Or will i have to re-do the entire "itsuils" preperation and all that again. Thanky you once again for the instructions and the use of your site.
Guest Souz Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 I thought I was going to faint when I saw my phone start back up after the soft set. All I have to say is, I love you Paul. Â
Guest Victor Rijo Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 hey i have a problem here, when i open the pdocread -l prompt thingy , it goes on and watever but like in a few second it disappears for no reason then i open it again and it disappears over and over. like i don't know. what do i do here? thanks buddies
Guest Victor Rijo Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 Okay i'm in step 3 where CopyTFFSToFile(0x0, 0x40d2000, Part02.dump appears, and it doesn't do anything it stays there for hours wat do i do?
Guest templeman01 Posted April 6, 2008 Report Posted April 6, 2008 (edited) Unfortunately it looks like i've bicked my phone :D I obviously was trying this too early on a sunday morning! After pressing the soft reset the device will not turn on or respond to the USB connection (no orange charge LED). I'm at a bit of a loss and not sure if this is recoverable before last resort of sending to get it fixed. I have searched around Modaco and XDA and haven't seen anything specific. Any thoughts? JT EDIT: Just realised how to hard reset my phone...at least it powers on but just to the Orange boot screen. Edited April 6, 2008 by templeman01
Guest Confucious Posted April 6, 2008 Report Posted April 6, 2008 Have you tried flashing a new ROM? I wou;d have thought that would fix it.
Guest templeman01 Posted April 6, 2008 Report Posted April 6, 2008 Have you tried flashing a new ROM? I wou;d have thought that would fix it. I had previously flashed to the Blue_Elves_v5_WM6.1 ROM.....I just tried to flash to this ROM again but as Activesync won't connect to the device not sure how to do it?? THe boatloader shows the USB connection. Thanks for your time Confucious
Guest Confucious Posted April 6, 2008 Report Posted April 6, 2008 Activesync does not need to connect to flash. So long as you have the bootloader it should work. I am no expert on flashing (I've done it lots of times but really don't know - I rely on the guys at xda-devs if anything goes wrong). Trying to flash again won't do any harm but if it doesn't work the xda-devs is where all the experts on flashing are. I'm sure they will be able to help. Good luck!

I think i need to flash an original ROM so downloading the Blue Touch ROM which will hopefully work!
Guest Confucious Posted April 6, 2008 Report Posted April 6, 2008 I think i need to flash an original ROM so downloading the Blue Touch ROM which will hopefully work! Why? I don't think I'd ever flash an original ROM when there are so many better ones out there. Which ROM you flash shouldn't make a difference to your problem.
Guest kangri Posted April 6, 2008 Report Posted April 6, 2008 hey paul im stuck on step 3...on the pagepool changing i dont know how to open a command prompt in the pagepool folder/directory i make therefore i cant get passed that step if you could please help me i would appreciated thank you

Guest kj52 Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 - Ensure device is connected to PC and Activesync'd / WMDC'd - Open a command prompt at your new directory - Type 'pdocread -l' (minus the quotes of course) how do i do the second step..? I dint understand what you meant by open a command prompt at your new directory?...
Guest Billy Bob Black Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 Flashed my Wing, right? Went from 2.2MB (with just WM6 running) to 15.4 after startup. I rebooted once, now it's at 11.3 after startup. Whats the deal?
Guest tregare Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 Thank you for this, I went from 10MB available to 18MB available by decreasing page pool to 6MB from the t-mobile wing default.
Guest Eric Odijk Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Sofar I have ran the ROM unlocker and downloaded the pdocread file. When I run "pdocread -l" I get the following for my part 2 "50.63M <0x32a0000> Part02" When I type "pdocread 0 0x32a0000 part02.dump" I get this response copy TFFSToFile(0x0, 0x32a0000, part02.dump) ERROR: ITReadDisk : Read 00000000 bytes - A device attached to the system is not functioning And I don't get a part02.dump file. Any ideas? thanks! Kinoons Hello, I got an HTC S730 which gave a different file size but the same problem Regards
Guest steve_x Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 worked great went from 5mb to 17 thanks man :D -steve_x
Guest BradTo Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 Worked for so far. No problems... Thanks. TMobile had no clue when I told them I had a memory problem.. Now I don't have to return my device.
