Sorry for jinxing you dude.

I have a sneaky feeling that they never actually had these in stock. It's a trick some retailers use to draw in pre-sales. They put up a very very cheap price to get the orders in. Hopefully as you already put an order in at that price you'll get it for that much.

Same thing happened to me over the weekend. I ordered a music player for my wife. Cheaper than any other retailer by far, so I went with em. Order went through. Then Monday afternoon I get an email saying they no longer had item in stock!

well ive sent them an email stating my order had already been confirmed and was being processed so I want the MicroSD card at the price they sold it to me for of £40

Couldn't get through on the phone so I've just emailed them.

i recieved my 4GB card this morning and im well pleased with it. currently filling it up with stuff ;)

dunno if anyone else had this but when i put it in the device it felt and sounded like a piece of sandpaper being put in there :(

I'm in the US and have had an 8GB on order with Elite Electronics for months, they even charged my CC at time of order and when I cancelled yesturday, still had none. No US on-line retailers have them that I can find, However, from a tip at XDA I found that I could simply walk into a Verizon store and pick one right off of their Kiosk! Got one yesturday for $129 and it works great in my Kaiser, the whole US/Canada maps, about 10 full length movies and still 3gig free!

So they do exist!

well the order tracking on the sandisk shop site is now working and they have put my status as alocating stock

Good luck with calling 'em. I tried and tried, and held on for approx 10 minutes everytime and still couldnt get through.

I eventually left my number on their website, where they offer to call you back.... and guess what??? They did not call me back!!!

I got my T-Mobile MDA Vario III about 2 weeks back, and in the T-Mobile shop they had a 4Gb Sandisk SDHC for £49.99. I then checked out Currys, PC World and Comet, whom all had the 4Gb Sandisk SDHC for £74.99. Out of curiousity I wandered across to Carphone Warehouse whom had the 4Gb at £45 ... but shock horror they also had the 8Gb Sandisk SDHC for £69.95. I snapped it up there and then despite the guy saying "You realise it won't work with that phone".

I replied "Oh but it will do with a reformat and a new device driver".

He said "Cool, be nice to get 8Gb in a phone like that".

To which I replied "Yeah it will have the same capacity as the iPhone, except this one will do what it's meant to do!"

I got in the car, opened the memory card packaging, stuck the card in, and it worked immediately without any changes, reformatting or new drivers. Woo hoo !!

I can't remember where I read it yesterday but for those of us in the USA, the 8gb card is available at Verizon Wireless stores and Circuit City stores with Verizon kiosks. I can confirm that it is available at verizonwireless.com for $129 and I imagine it would be the same in the retail stores. I'm going to go check out the local Circuit City store and I'll report back, hopefully with pictures :(

Well that is a lie... My order (which has been with them for 5 days) still has "Allocating Stock" next to it in the order tracking.

I tried to call today... no answer...

I am not confident about this company - very poor customer service! If you can get one of these elsewhere, then do!

Got this from them when I asked to cancel my order on Tuesday.

In regards to your order we do not have the 8gb micro sd cards in stock.

We are waiting on supplier distribution and as soon it arrives it will

be Dispatched.

We have been told by our supplier we should receive them no later than

Thursday.

If you are able to wait till Thursday this would be appreciated.

GOT IT! I picked up my 8gb microSDHC card today at the WORST retail store in history. At first, I went to circuit city but i could not find it there and the VZW guys were too busy helping people buying actual phones. I went to the VZW corporate store about 5 minutes away and I got it there for 129 but the experience in the store was HORRIBLE. they make you sign in at this kiosk system and your name is entered into a queue that is shown on an overhead screen and I was behind about 4 familys all of which were buying phones. I finally got helped after about 20 minutes of just standing there looking at vz's slick looking phones w/ a crippled UI and even more crippled bluetooth. i do have to admit though that the voyager is kind of a slick phone but its not iPhone and its definately no Kaiser.

well ive just resived an invoice from them this morning, and ive checked the order tracking and they have taken the money out of my bank so its finally getting dispatched. my email seems to have worked :(

heh you should see the email i sent her. I added stuarts reply (hope he doesnt mind, I left out his name though) along with the fact that I had put their details on a public forum that just happens to show up in google when you search for any 8Gb sandisk MicroSD cards and the forum topic was meant first to show a cheap place to get the 8gb card and could of pottentially got them some bussiness but its done just the opposite and is now hurting their business.

Don't be too sure of it - I have also got my tracking code to trace the delivery, and have also had the money taken out of my account last week - and still heard nothing.

The phone number for their company is dead, as is all their other subsiary company phone numbers, and all the "Call Me Back" function on their website hasn't worked.

Trading Standards have told me that the distance selling regulations means that if the item is not delivered within 30 days, you can cancel the order and get a refund, but also if money has been taken and it has not been dispatched you are within rights to ask for a refund too - I would urge everyone to do this and buy it from somewhere reputable! And mention Modaco's forum when you do so they feel the people power!
