Guest MAx_74 Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Purtroppo non so scrivere in inglese, ma volevo chiedere se l'interfaccia verrà tradotta in altre lingue  IT: Di quale interfaccia stai parlando? EN: Which interface are you talking about?
Guest vincentvan Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Purtroppo non so scrivere in inglese, ma volevo chiedere se l'interfaccia verrà tradotta in altre lingue  Forse che si, forse che no...
Guest SiLviO_ Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Awesome work guys !!... I've read all the pages and i could help you , but only with the desing... (but i see that Hellbender does a very good job with it and i dont know if u need more help ...)
Guest Akshay_LP Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 I've appreciated you before and I do, obviously. My point is that I've seen so many people offer help in the development in various aspects but it doesn't seem as if you've paid attention or seeked their help since obviously, more developers is better. I hope I'm wrong and you're considering them. Akshay
Guest Lb51oO Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 When this is released will it be compatible with the US Verizon CDMA Omnia?

I hope I'm wrong and you're considering them. Akshay We are carefully selecting people to involve in the project, as we don't want people who ask for the sources just to drop the project after a while, and we don't want people who work on different timezones from us, because we need to keep in touch via an instant messenger to get faster responses. Further many of the coding proposal i received came from people who never programmed with c++ or developed under WM, what would you do in my place ? I prefer to rely on the most experienced candidates i can found, before sharing the work others did with efforts. Many of the help offerings came under the design aspect, which isn't the problem right now 'cause I actually can produce all the graphics we need for the project with the programmers i have. We miss coders, not designers. I'm actually refusing any translation proposal because if the shell isn't done and functional there's no need to translate anything. And you actually can't be aware of how many messages I received via pm about developing proposals and help. "...since obviously, more developers is better..." took as it is it's just a superficial statement, when you lead a project you need to look carefully at who you work with to not screw all up, expecially when each single coder need to integrate his work with the other ones. Guest MrDup Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Hi guys, I'm mad about the look of this graphic interface, but if I speak english a little, it would be very cool to have a french version of it... Have you planned to translate it ?
Guest sepp_a_u Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 oh guys please read the hole thread and not only the first post and then nothing else. all of your questions were already answered! greetz
Guest vincentvan Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 oh guys please read the hole thread and not only the first post and then nothing else. all of your questions were already answered! greetz Ahem, the thread streaches over 20 pages: to read it all it's more or less like reading "War and Peace". I understand how not everyone can spend a full day to read a forum's thread no matter how interesting it may be. Would'nt it be more practical to set a limit to the number of pages over which a single thread can be dragged ? Or maybe the number of days or weeks? Otherways it just can't be expected that every new member with a question would start by reading the six months old first posts in a 30 pages thread. Or what?

Otherways it just can't be expected that every new member with a question would start by reading the six months old first posts in a 30 pages thread. Or what? Or maybe people could just stop making useless questions covered on the first post or in a few pages earlier. If you spent a little to read three or four pages past this you can see how some questions are prone to show up over and over. I understand tha reading a full 20 pages thread (which is that long also thank to these useless questions) is a bit heavy, but just a couple of them including the first post isn't that hard imho. I will simply ignore the already covered questions, and I ask experienced forum users to do the same, let the useless questions fall alone, don't answer them or you will clutter the thread even more. If any of you can't get any answer to a question you asked, just go to the first page, read, and think if your question worth an answer or not. BTW i'm learning from those questions and i'm upgrading the first page as the thread progresses, as you can see. Regards. Edited January 7, 2009 by Hellbender
Guest vincentvan Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 I think you misunderstanded my post Hellbender. My proposal to limit the pages of threads was not directed to you but maybe to some mod or admin of MoDaCo. Besides I have no presumptions about coding (which I can't do) or design (which I don't have the time to do). As a matter of fact I did'nt even downloaded your (very nice) skin, and I will not do it until there will be a definitive version, if then. Anyway, buon lavoro. VV
Guest MrDup Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 (edited) oh guys please read the hole thread and not only the first post and then nothing else. all of your questions were already answered! greetz Sorry, but I searched for "french" word in the forum and there was no response from your topic. So I though the question of french translation have not been answered. Anyway, I saw that you have not planned to develop a french version "right now", but do think about this in the futur ? (Sorry for my bad english) EDIT : About the problem of questions that have been already answered, can't you add some sentences like "English only" (in my case) on the first post to have all details brought by the posters questions in one piece ? I assume you haven't re-read the first post because "-WE ARE NOT PLANNING TO TRANSLATE THIS SO DON'T ASK, YOU WILL BE IGNORED" looks clear enought to me. The last edit of my first post is dated yesterday. No need to specify that it is only english, on an international forum, imho. Edited January 8, 2009 by Hellbender
Guest shantul Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 Hi, I have been watching this thread with great interest and a few things are clear to me: 1. Its a brilliant project in the making. 2. Hellbender is right when he says he needs to choose the right people for the project. I know how awful it can be when you dont have the right tools for a job. For what Akshay said about more developers the better, sorry mate that is NEVER the case. 3. I am no designer and neither can I code for WM so if any donation is required in the future that will be my contribution to the project. 4. Hellbender, one thing I would suggest to you is to calm down a bit and be patient with people's queries. Simply ignore the repetitive ones as they will NOT stop and get on with what you do best. Its not a good idea to keep antagonising people because you are getting irritated with repetitive queries. its a forum mate, this is bound to happen. All the best and I look forward to a Beta version.
Guest shantul Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 (edited) Edit: Sorry for the double post. Edited January 8, 2009 by shantul
Guest speechman Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 (edited) The graphics look great! I believe most of this can be implemented using wisbar advanced desktop. If you post the icons and background images, I could take a stab at implementing it! Edited January 8, 2009 by speechman

For what Akshay said about more developers the better, sorry mate that is NEVER the case. Thanks for clearing it up Hellbender, if you look at my previous posts, I've always appreciated this project so thats not the point. I was just making sure you weren't completely ignoring the developer's requests, which as it turns out, is not the case. And what I meant by saying that 'more developers is better' is that I thought you'd be under some pressure since you only have 1 or 2 other people in your team, and more developers would ease development and progress. And by developers I meant quality developers. And sorry for blatantly stating that, I should have clarified. Keep up the good work! And I do agree lame posts asking where should I download and posts asking stupid questions already answered should just be deleted and they should be PM'd a friendly warning to atleast read the first page before populating this thread. It really is getting very bugging. Good job, Akshay Edited January 9, 2009 by Akshay_LP

Thanks, JASTECH ô¿ô That's not my work, it's almost all coming from Lesscro. And that isn't our interface, is just his idea of it, so please pm him to ask about his work.
