STOPPED - New graphic Interface for OMNIA

Would really like to see this interface completed as well. Don't know a thing about coding, which is sort of what the problem was, but I could donate. :-\ It's one of, if not the best interface for a phone I've seen.

Hellbender needed help getting coders to work on it and then had trouble just finding coders to attempt to work on it. I guess the best thing for us to do, if we really wanted to get this done is to contact any WM developer and ask them to find hellbender....

Anyhow, I don't even know if Hellbender still checks this Thread.

Oh I check it, I just don't have anything to say about it that isn't already been said.

The project is dead due to complete lack of programmers, and I don't have time to wander around looking for some company to develop this, this is not my job.

The best way I can see to get it done would be to make it open source and just let it go or make it open source and manage the project. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere in the thread that you didn't want to release the code, but if you aren't going to work on it why not put it out there so somebody else can make use of your hard work?

I've only toyed around with WM programming but the design is generally the thing I have the hardest time with. I'm a good programmer, not such a good designer, which appears to be what you've taken care of. If I can get access to the code behind this I'd love to see what I could do with it. If you are willing to let me see it just drop me a PM. Otherwise I hope you find some way to work it out.

Yep, the project was discontinued right before the locker software was released, hence why it was released unfinished.

I've wanted to learn how to code for a while now. What I really need is a push in the right direction. I don't even know what language to study for coding in Windows Mobile. This interface is inspiring and I'd love to take it on and contribute to building it. If only I knew where to start. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I second this. Recently got given an omnia as a hand me down phone, and have been a regular visitor to this site. If keeping your code private is your main concern, how about releasing the interface images as GPL? That way, someone out there can play with the images and perhaps code an interface. I myself will definitely take a crack at it. Never coded using C# before, but I'm quite proficient in java. There are a lot of similarities between the two, so hopefully once this semester of uni is over, I can perhaps look forward to this as a summer project.
