Hi

I am unable to get my mobile to receive signal from my Sim card

The phone cannot detect the network.

Internet connectivity works fine, bluetooth etc all ok.

Its a new phone less than two weeks old.

Pls advise as I'm sure it must have something to do with the settings and its not the phone nor the sim card as the sim card can be used on another samsung with no problems.

Tks

Does the Omnia II work with another SIM card?

Hi

I trouble shot the following:

1. Used both roaming sim cards, Sin and the overseas country, but still cannot get any signal.

2. Did hard reset still same problem.

3. The phone can auto and manually receive the overseas telecom networks, and bands but the problem still persists.

4. Could it be the phone or my wrong settings.

5. If my luck sometimes I get a signal but very low, one bar at most.

Appreciate any advise.

6. Used both sim cards on my Samsung D980 and they work fine with full signal bars all the time.

Appreciate any advise.

did you try another sim card in the Omnia 2?

if yes, try to go to phone settings and change the network from automatic to gsm 900/1900 or whatever it is the gsm value 800/1900 and see what will happen

have you tried changing your operator settings?

eg try changing to a provider that you're not using then change it back.

You have to bring your phone to service center.

I met the same problem, brought it to service center, was told it was a motherboard problem.
