IN my own experience, NO.

Was able to listen to one radio station with clarity on my previously owned Omnia but wasn't able to even get a decent signal on the Omnia II on the very same location.

i wouldnt turn the omnia ii away just yet.. it's just been released and the firmware is nowhere near where the original omnia's is currently. if you can wait a month or two the radio reception will definitly be addressed (at least i think so..)

yeah, could it be, but i think is a problem of the cables/jack used... maybe the omnia 1 connector is better than the 3.5 jack...

The radio reception seems to be decent on the O2... I think my O1 was indeed better but the O2 is fine. I am able to get all my favorite stations on the O2 but sometimes I need to move the cord around a little to improve reception and I didn't have to do that with the O1. Hoping future firmware updates will fix it as well :)
