Ok guys...I had went ahead and went to the no man land. Flash to H5 successfully...but wait with all my contents still there in "My Storage."

CHECK MARK THE "Preserve Device's Content" =)

Presto...your content still there.

For crying out loud....I was really in a panic about my content and having the urge flash my phone.

Here the link to all 4 parts of the rom and Octans Downloader: 350 MB download --> with out the IMG file. Save alot of space

Although unpacking gives CRC error in PDA_I8000XXIH5_HW_40.IMG, you can simple ignore it because this is garbage file. Simple delete PDA_I8000XXIH5_HW_40.IMG after unpacking.

use PDA_I8000XXIH5_HW_40.MST from archive.

both have different file sizes, what is the difference between .IMG and .MST in the flash process?

does anyone know?

.IMG file should be uploaded in the "Integrated" field, what does it contain?

As some one had mention, The IMG is just a dump file. Please use MST like everyone else.

yeah I did already and the update was a success...

All I'm saying is that the .IMG file is not just a dump, it has a field in the OCTANS, it should be in the Integrated, and it is 400+MB file, it is no dump it has information in it for our phones...

Did you flashed it with my given links? If so, then let me know, so I can change the subject.

Thanks a lot.

Yes the same link on the 1st post... I did not use .IMG files as it is broken! Everything seems to works well!

You need to update your flashlite

Please, Can you confirm if language selection menu is available?.

if you don't update the given csc file, it will not update language file!

So you will have again your old multilanguage file form the old version!

Hi,

This is quite early to compare battery life !

You cannot compare OMNIA and OMNIA2 for this point, one day is not enough to try batterie :) !

How Fast ? Just disable Samsung TouchWiz UI (as previous versions), and you have a realy fast and reactive phone.

Then to finally try to convince you : this is a multilanguage Update, with 15 european languages including Russian (and french for me!)!

Thanks again for those who share !
