I installed this on my B7610, only my device freezes after i exit the program, and if i don't exit the program it keeps showing up instead of the home screen. What can i do?

so, what is the step by step process now in overclocking the omnia 2 and retaining the setting when woken up?

Yes I am using the Megalite ROM 6.5.5 latest build from Daskalos, though I don't think the problem resides with it being a custom rom or not. For windows mobile custom rom is basically a removal of a few cumbersome apps we don't need and things of that nature, unlike Android which devs are actually heavily tweaking the OS. It's weird to see so many people reporting it not working while I got it working on my first try (2 months ago when I first read the thread), and now did it again and got it to work.

Btw I am using an Omnia Pro, but that piece of software had Omnia 2 on the tester list before the Omnia Pro, so I thought this is fully working on Omnia 2?

Anyway, on top of what I have said, I could be missing a step. Try downloading the S3Clock.zip from the same website and unzip it to wherever, then run the s3clock.reg. After that, reboot and try your customized APLL and MPLL values and see if you still experience the same problem u have ran into.

Please report back and see if this fixes the problem, if so I will modify the tutorial I wrote up a couple of posts back.

I will try the s2clock. HOWEVVER...I've discovered a new problem. I was trying to OC my Omnia 2 again, and now it appears that when I short press the lock button on the right hand side, it no longer turns the display off...nothing happens...if I long press the lock button it will go to the lock screen. The only way that I know of to turn the display off is to enable the setting to let it go into standy after 30 seconds of inactivity. Anybody know of a setting in the registry or heard of a fix for this?

[uPDATE] Wound up doing hard reset...this fixed the lock button problem.

hi, i have run s3clock on my i8000, everything is fine. but there is one problem. did any of you notice that the vibration become weak after running s3clock??

You don't really need to run gpiogfx at all. Just install S3clock. After installation, change the registry keys for apll and mpll at HKCU\Software\S3Clock. A good safe place to start is 450 apll. Like others have said, I would leave mpll at 388. Close S3clock if it's open. Reopen it and you should notice the changes. If you can't get S3clock to run, make sure you run fpu enabler first. You only need to run fpu enabler the one time to enable allkmode.

Okay so here's an update. I did this and it works. My Omnia 2 stays OC'd even after turning the phone on/off or even if the phone goes into standby and comes out of standby. I OC'd to 490x2 or 980!

Strange thing I noticed is that after running benchmark tests they were not indicative of having OC'd. I wonder if this is a result of patching FPU enabler to get S3Clock to run??? When I used gpiogfx in the beginning, I could def. see an improvement in the benchmark tests.

I had done a hard reset after using gpiogfx. After getting my phone back to the way I wanted it and then trying s3clock, now the benchmark tests basically show where I was in the very beginning (before even trying to OC - before gpiogfx); however, my performance on my Omnia 2 is indicative of having OC'd. Plus, if I check the registry keys as mentioned above after turning on/off or resuming from standby, the registry keys stay at what I set them (490 apll and s88 mpll).

I really don't care that the benchmark tests "show"me never having really OC'd. I'm glad I see an improvement in performance, though! It's just curious that with using gpiogfx, I saw improved benchmark results. Using s3clock, it does not show improved benchmark tests. Is it because of FPU enabler you think?

[uPDATE] Okay. I realized my problem. I didn't have FPU enabler running in the background. After you've patched it, you DO NOT hit the OK button in the top right hand corner of your screen (this actually closes the FPU enabler). I did this before thinking that it would keep it "open." Like a previous poster mentioned, after patching FPU (and still on FPU screen) hold down middle button. Unless you've changed the shortcuts, this will open your task manager. After the task manager is opened just hold down the physical OK button on your phone. This by default takes you to the today screen. If you check your task manager, you should see that FPU Enabler is running.

After I left FPU enabler running, I went back and did my benchmarks, and BAM! Back to OC'd in the benchmark tests! It was strange though before because I did notice an increase in performance after setting the registry keys in s3clock, but at that time, I did not have FPU enabler running in the background. Now, after having FPU enabler on, I still see the increase in performance (even more so actually, the lock screen loads way faster - straight to the lockscreen. There's no delay showing the currently opened window and then to the lock screen. It's BAM....right there fast!) and see OC'd results in the benchmark tests.

Try it out! It worked for me! It even stays after resuming from standby. I would use s3clock, not the gpiogfx. It's great! Thanks!

Can anyone confirm this working on the JD1 rom? On the newer WM builds (23551 and up), FPU enabler does not run and allkmode cannot be enabled. Maybe there is a workaround to enable allkmode some other way?

800 MHz is totally enough!!!!

I also believe so, for omnia2 which has only less than 200mb of memory (ram), overclocking wont have any significant effect. the bottleneck here is the ram, not the cpu.

I beg to differ... sc3 cpu when overclock to let's say 930Mhz, really gives a significant effect on how applications run

Adding more ram, will just give you more...ram. Applications made for WinMo, as I know of, will not exceed 20mb in memory usage, so running a single app in a device with at least 50mb available memory is fair enough. More ram means more apps to run simultaneously though.

A quick way to fire up the OC, I am using I8000

Install Mortscript

Put S3Clock and FPU Enabler in \My Storage\S3Clock

Create S3Clock.mscr as below

Run "\My Storage\S3Clock\FPUEnabler.exe"

MouseClick "FPU Enabler",10,10

Else

Show "FPU Enabler"

MouseClick "FPU Enabler",10,10

EndIf

Minimize "FPU Enabler"

Run "\My Storage\S3Clock\S3Clock.exe"

To enable OC just fire this script, note that you need to up the HKCU/Software/S3Clock/APLL_MDIV before that and reboot. For me the stable value is 465

There is a "Performance" option in "Settings" to set to high.

Is that also considered overclock?

i´m trying to play psx games, but almost every games run toooooo slooowwww, what have you done? is processor oced? about fpse ini?

its included in the new program and seems to work fine. i havent had any strange behiavour on my phone running at 900. but at 953 it crashed. your results may vary
