I used secanys phone part IL2 Found at this link

Everything seems to be working fine except that i lost access to my data access, My phone says All data Connection : Disconected

I know that im supose to use the IL2 phone part from the original rom .. maybe that is what is causing my problems ..

i 'recommend' using it in conjunction with phone part IL2 (comes with IL5 official ROM)

Would it be possible to post the link to the orininal phone part pls

Or maybe i need to configure it so that i get access to the internet again !!

Your issue with data connection has nothing to do with phone part, it is just you have to reconfigure data settings...

fantastic rom! it really brought out the pure wm 6.5 software w/out the bugs that popped up when samsung associated it with their apps. to customize it for my use, i installed the samsung keyboard (for haptic feedback) and crc's arcsoft mms v5. works like a charm.

one question, though: the today screen is set to "htc black" but why does it show up as a solid aqua blue color? (remedied this by downloading the "htc hd2" wallpaper since i prefer this on my today screen)

You need to select a valid ringtone first.

@rodrigo thanks a lot for this rom definitely way better then the stock one ... and thanks as well for the response .. i finally got my data back :) ... just one thing though that ive noticed ..

MSN messenger has the incoming emails correct .. except when i try to view them .. the folder is empty .. when i try to add the hotmail address .. i just get redirected to web mail !!

Ill try with another messenger version and see if i can do something about this ..

Other then that amazing ROM Great Job !!

Java is not missing.

RFD has just did not include a few things.. (maybe he dislikes java :))

HOW TO "FIX" JAVA IN RFD's 22122009 ULTRA LITE:

Registry Edit

Then create a shortcut for JBlend_AMS.exe in windows folder to the start menu.

Setting should be: av0pw3r

various ways to tweak the sound and vibration etc.

To solve de low level on incoming rings:

Use a regedit and searh for:

HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Attenuation

Create a dword named 5 with value 1

Then go to HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring AttenuationCategory and changes de value to 5

Restart and test it.

Change duration of ringtone/vibrate/LED flash characteristics"

HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0\Script = "v1w1v1w1v1"

E.g. vibrate 1 second (v1), wait 1 second (w1) sequence

Looping Ringtones Delay

Ring tone has a standard 3 seconds delay before repeating. You can set the delay from 0 second to how many second that you want.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0

Change 'Script' from 'av0pw3r' to 'av0pr' and you'll get 0 sec delay.

OR change it to

av0pw1r = wait for 1 sec

av0pw2r = wait for 2 sec

and so on...

Plus heres the code

a - stands for display

r - repeat/replay the script again

c - sets the volume C50, c150, c100

f - means flash .. f1 flash for 1 second and f0 stands for flash continuously

p -means play ringtone

v- vibrate then incorporate with number to state how many seconds it will vibrate example. v3 vibrate for 3seconds or v - for continous

w - stands for wait or pause then specify how many seconds like w3(wait for 3 seconds)

Heres the example

Hi RFD, any alternatives for uploading beside rapidshare? I am a fan of your cooked roms(using Leo o2 now) and I am unable to download from rapidshare (crappy ip problems due to isp using shared ip address/non-static) :)

Maybe for future releases you could upload on your server or on the forum? Just a suggestion.

Yes, that's a good way for "advanced" users to do. It's very useful to have custom style that are not offered in general.

However, for those of you who prefer an easier way, i've already given TWO solutions in this thread.

1 - Choose a valid ringtone before setting ring and vibrate

2 - Get to the root of the problem! HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds, modify/delete the Ringtones value.

Sorry but no.. Custom ROMs must be cooked in a very complex and different way, which i won't, simply because it is too costly and not worh it.. sorry

After flashing to Secany's L5, I then flashed to Rodrigofd's Ultra Lite ROM ver 22nd Dec.

I am on PDA L5/CSC nil/Phone L2.

Downloaded the page 1 Samsung Today.

I faced 2 problems:

1. My Phone book on the right bottom not working.

error msg:

"SECContact.exe" The file 'SECContact' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found.

2. SMS are found in mailbox.

Appreciate help.

Some other registry about vibration (Dunno if anyone else posted) =)

System / phone ring sound actually no need use registry, use the sound go up/down should able to set, right?

vibration type (should be able to set through setting tab, which under ring)

HKCU\ControlPanel\Vibetonz

VibeBel -> it should which type of vibration . 0 = type 1, 1 = type 2, and so on. 4 = type 5

Strong -> it should be Phone incoming vibration level

3 = level 3, 4 = level 4, 5 = level 5 (highest)

Touchvibeon -> it should be system vibration (on / off)

1 = on, 0 = off

TouchvibeStrength -> it should be system vibration level

5 = highest

**actually without large icon, i have no idea how to set the vibration level at all

finally i found in registry, hope it help if anyone needed.

(at least i wanna set stronger vibration for phone call)

I see the bug when using cleanram has been fixed. Was a Samsung bug, not a cleanram bug

The new Samsung menu structure is great.
