Guest steff195 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 (edited) Hi and thanks for your help, it worked well when I switched to another usb port. But no samsung phonepad in the new version, have tried to download Samsung keyboards but may not Swedish T9. And no phonepad in the dowload link. Can you put back the samsung keyboards/keypad and phonepad or get me one link there i can download them all in swedish t9 please i only use the Phonepad . now i went back to 22024 M2Dv2 I won't put back theat keyboard, but if you give the swedish language code, I will provide you the T9 for this language. I would have done it right now, but I don't know which one is for swedish. EDIT: found it, download the attachment, unrar it, and place it under /Windows. very nice rom man but when i install samsung keyboard i can not find it after install... C'mon man, check the input panel under settings, or keep pressed for a few seconds on the keyboard icon in the middle of the toolbar and a list of keyboards will appear, that way you can select which one you want. :lol:XT9Ime.041D.rar Edited July 1, 2010 by steff195
Guest Wize1 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 (edited) Hi Steff, Tried to install the keyboard from your link and i have the same problem, does not show when pushing and holding or in the Input app under settings? Any other advice ? Wize EDIT: as a interim work around i have installed HTC Phone Pad not as nice as the Samsung one but works. Edited July 1, 2010 by Wize1
Guest steff195 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 @Wize1: it seems there is a problem with that cab, checked it myself. You were right. But... I looked for a solution and I found another cab (see attachment) that is doing the job very well. Just tested it. And it's black glossy too. :D If you have problems with XT9, THIS might be useful. :lol:Samsung_IM_Black_Gloss_XT9.rar
Guest Wize1 Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 Hi Steff, Thanks working perfectly. Did not turn up on my searches as i was looking for Samsung PhonePad / Keyboard  Thanks Again Wize
Guest Markox Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 (edited) Can you also made a "blank" version, without any other software? P.S. I think you should reinsert the Samsung's Keyboard in your rom ^^" Edited July 2, 2010 by Markox
Guest goblinz Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 I have now installed Samsung_IM_Black_Gloss_XT9.rar and now works touched the table again. but may not be functioning Swedish T9 ,have tried to install the file in Windows XT9Ime.041D.rar on the phone in windows folder, but it will not be included as an option. English is just there. Why have you removed all the languages. I agree that you Should Reinsert the Samsung's keyboard in your ROM. and every language. I go back to the 22024th
Guest steff195 Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 (edited) Hi Steff, Thanks working perfectly. Did not turn up on my searches as i was looking for Samsung PhonePad / Keyboard :D Thanks Again Wize Glad you did it. Btw, I wish I was in South Africa these days. I'm sayin' it because I saw your national flag. :) Btw, could you send me a vuvuzela? :D Can you also made a "blank" version, without any other software? P.S. I think you should reinsert the Samsung's Keyboard in your rom ^^" I don't have the time to do that, I just follow these two lines: Normal and M2Dv2. About Samsung Keyboard, I won't include it, I think it's better this way... and it takes about 6mb of free space that could be useful for other apps... and, if someone wants it, can simply install it afterwards. I have now installed Samsung_IM_Black_Gloss_XT9.rar and now works touched the table again. but may not be functioning Swedish T9 ,have tried to install the file in Windows XT9Ime.041D.rar on the phone in windows folder, but it will not be included as an option. Guest Cristee Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 Very nice rom. But ai have one problem, i can't see the the movies, neither with the camera menu, nitrogen or media player. What can i do ??
Guest DarkIceBG Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 Hi, Steff195. I'm experiencing the same problem as Cristee. It is working just the TCPMP player, but the rest. For example the "Touch player" says "Cannot play the file. The file is either corrupted or the Player does not support the format you are trying to ... ". When I was with the previous roms there wasn't such problem. Is it possible that some preinstalled from Samsung codecs are missing?
Guest steff195 Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 I don't know why you guys encounter this problem... I still haven't found out what's causing this. I don't think it's a codecs related problem (you said they might be meissing, but I know I didn't touch them) since this works fine in the Normal version and only happens in M2Dv2 version... and I use the same database for both versions, the difference is that M2Dv2 contains more files. Here could be the problem... some compatibility issues. I'll check it out. Until then I recommend the Normal version. :)
Guest Dragonul Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 Hello Stef, I got an older version of ROM : DXHJ1 both pda and phone I want to install your latest ROM but I'm not sure if it contains also the phone besides the pda. If it doesn't contain where can i find it to be compatible with your version of pda. Thank you in advance, Vlad
Guest steff195 Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 Hi, indeed, my roms don't contain the phone part, but you can update that with one of the latest phone parts in here. I, for example, have now DXIF1. You can get it HERE! Use Grandprix for XP/Vista (also for 7). If you're using Vista/Seven you must use Grandprix to flash all the parts: eboot, pda, customer.csc and, of course, the phone part. But you must dissasemble my exe rom file first. Then it's quite easy. Good luck. :)
Guest david8900 Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Windows Mobile 6.5.X. custom ROMs for Samsung i900 Omnia I'm not responsible in case you do something wrong! EDIT 29.06.2010: 24618 Normal/M2dv2 released! (AKU5307 Windows CE: 5.2 Build 5414 (June 13 2010. 15:45:23) ) This time (and beginning with the last few roms also) I tried to add (only!) some useful apps that I think they should be in a rom, that everybody should use them. The idea is to make the roms more complete. Everything else may be installed by each person by his taste, I don’t want to fill my roms with stuff that not everybody uses. I also don’t cook demo/paid apps as I don’t want trouble. :D By cooking in this apps the internal memory dropped a little by I still think it’s enough left for everyone. :) Changes: - added Microsoft Weather; - added Microsoft Marketplace; - added Advanced Configuration Tool 3.3.; - removed Samsung keyboard, I don’t know if anyone is using this keyboard (I personally don’t), but if anyone wants it, it’s here; - minor changes. So, now, the complete list of included apps would be: - Nitrogen; - Google Maps; - JWMD Icon Changer; - Advanced Configuration Tool; - Smart Converter from Omnia Lite; - Torch Button; - Shutdown; - Internet Sharing; - Obex Inbox; - Microsoft Marketplace; - Microsoft Weather; - Notes; - FM Radio (black); - Tasks; - Search; - Pictures & Videos (+ Contents Manager, the default picture viewer); - World Clock (+ the default alarm app… without shortcut in Start Menu, but you can find it in /Windows); - SoundTester (to change the volume levels of the speaker/headset… you can find it in /Windows also); - Default Taskswitcher (just slide your finger upwards from above the Samsung logo); - HTC Calculator (black); - TV Out. Screenshots: Download 24618 Normal Mirror Mandrake 24618 M2Dv2 Mirror Mandrake EDIT 16.06.2010: 22024 Normal/M2dv2 released! (AKU 5306 Windows CE: 5.2 Build 4911 (May 18 2010. 15:43:30) ) Changes: - introduced Search, Notes, Tasks options (with 7 style icons, of course B) ); - introduced Omnia II's Smart Converter; changed its icon also; - removed sim card shortcut from Start Menu, you can find it in /Windows; - some cosmetic changes: changed the Messaging, Calculator, FM Radio and Internet Sharing with ones to match the rom look (hint?: again, 7 :D ) Screenshots: Download 22024 Normal Mirror Mandrake 22024 M2Dv2 Mirror Mandrake EDIT 31.05.2010: 22022 Normal/M2dv2 released! (AKU5306 Windows CE: 5.2 Build 4911 (May 18 2010. 15:43:30) - New Office) Changes: - Changed the welcome screen, now you can set the date/time right at the first boot and, the most important fix is that they will remain set after restart (not like until now, when you had to restart your phone a few times and then set your date/time in order to stay); - some icon changes, to improve the rom look; - some minor changes. Due to lack of time, no screenshots this time. Sorry! But you can make an idea by looking at the previous roms. Download 22022 Normal Mirror Mandrake 22022 M2Dv2 Mirror Mandrake EDIT 26.05.2010: 21660 Normal/M2dv2 released! (AKU5306 Windows CE: 5.2 Build 3584 (May 13 2010. 17:46:57) - New Office, updated AKU) Changes: - new touch improvements; - finally the remaining icons from the Start Menu (Messaging, FMRadio, TVOut, JWMD Icon Changer, Nitrogen, Torch Button) are HD-ified :D... so now all default rom icons are fixed (at least in the Normal version), but you will still need the included JWMD Icon Changer to change the icons of some programs you install later. Note: In M2Dv2 version you might encounter some XDA_UC initializing error, so you'll have to start it manually... or try a hard reset first... for me it worked. Screenshots: Download 21660 Normal Mirror Advancedpcs Mirror Mandrake 21660 M2Dv2 Mirror Advancedpcs Mirror Mandrake As usual, my thanks for these helpful mirrors! EDIT 14.05.2010: 22018 Normal/M2dv2 released! AKU5305 Windows CE: 5.2 Build 4910 (Apr 29 2010. 15:43:49) Changes: This time I decided to introduce some necessary apps only, but I didn’t want this to become a Premium rom, because I thought some of you guys maybe don’t use all the apps that I might introduce and left that decision to yourself. Anyway, here’s what is new/changed: - introduced Torch Button for flashlight; - introduced XDA_Shutdown, for restart/sleep; - introduced Google Maps 4.1.(with voice search); - reintroduced XDA_UC with progress bar (with customized background). No problems this time, I mean it won’t get interrupted by that restart message (thanks ock)… it will start installing your apps at the first boot and once it’s done you’ll have to wait a few seconds and that restart message will appear. For usage of this program, see bottom of this post; - changed most of the newly introduced apps’ icons; but once again I remind you that you can use JWMD Icon Changer (it’s cooked in) to change the icons to some you like more; - fixed the bluetooth icon when visible to all devices; now the icon is blue too instead of red like before. - did some icon renaming; - removed Elegant Black Color theme; - some rom cleaning, so even if I cooked in some new apps the free space didn’t decrease too much. Screenshots: Download 22018 Normal Mirror Mandrake (thanks!) 22018 M2Dv2 Mirror Mandrake EDIT 04.05.2010: 28233 Normal/M2dv2 released! (AKU5303 Windows CE: 5.2 Build 5220 (22 Apr 2010. 12:13:15)) Changes: - disabled Samsung Volume control; WinMo one is better looking now, more finger friendly and more simple; - removed Remote Desktop, which didn’t work correctly; - removed XDA_UC this time, until I find a solution to make it run at the second boot, because sometimes it runs at the first boot and it gets interrupted by that reboot message after flashing; - increased back the system fonts a little bit, because it seemed to me now that I exxagerated last time when I decreased them a little too much; - this time this branch has Office 2010 included (by default, not by me). Enjoy!... and don't forget, if you appreciate my effort, don't hesitate to buy me a beer. :P Screenshots (just to show you what's new, the rest of the rom has the same 7 look :P ): Download 28233 Normal Mirror Advancedpcs Mirror Mandrake 28233 M2Dv2 Mirror Advancedpcs Mirror Mandrake Thanks guys for the mirrors! EDIT 29.04.2010: 22013 Normal released!(AKU5305 Windows CE: 5.2 Build 4908 (Apr 15 2010. 15:44:14) ) Ok guys, this time, in this rom I made some special changes (although at first I didn’t feel like doing it) but some guys (from my national forums) suggested my roms aren’t good enough because they are empty and don’t have even a picture viewer or a music player. I tried to explain them (in vain!) that the idea was to create a lighter rom so that everyone can install afterwards his favorite applications. But they said it’s too much work involved when customizing, like they wanted everything cooked in by me. Anyway, this made me revise my whole rom, it was helpful after all, because, with this occasion, I fixed some of the remaining problems. Memory dropped a bit because of the newly introduced items... anyway you have about 142Mb/61Mb free (that should be enough). Changes: - Introduced Nitrogen with an Iphonelike theme modified by me (all panels are black now, plus some hidden buttons and a bigger album art) and set as default. There’s a warning message though at the first program startup, saying the program couldn’t load the default theme, but it loads just fine (For hidden buttons see Nitrogen screenshot); Please notice that Nitrogen is not being opened up from Titanium yet. I didn’t have time to fix that too… maybe in the next releases; - XDA_UC with Autorun and progress bar (modified a bit), for easy automatic apps installation; If you preffer to install you files manually just ignore it by not creating that XDA_UC folder. (For instructions and tips see the bottom of this post); - fixed and reassigned the side buttons as follows: - top right button: launches Start Menu; - top right button (hold): launches Task Manager; - camera button: launches Camera; - camera button (hold): launches Today Screen. If you want other shortcuts you can reassign the buttons from the settings; - Pictures and Videos on Start Menu; - reintroduced Media Album (the default Omnia picture viewer), so now you can open up pictures, but I didn’t introduce it though to Start Menu as shortcut; If you don’t like it you can install your favorite afterwards; - reintroduced Internet Sharing; - reintroduced Remote Desktop Mobile; - introduced Obex Inbox which allows you to set up where you should save your files received via bluetooth; changed its icon also; you can find it in the Connections tab (see screenshot); - replaced bluetooth icon with a better looking one; - made menu fonts smaller so you don’t have to scroll too much or even at all in some programs (e.g.Resco Explorer, SK Tools…), and it looks better; I took care not to affect the finger touch though; if, anyhow, you find them too small you can set the default measures with Advanced Configuration Tool; - replaced some icons from Start Menu, such as Camera, Internet Sharing or Remote Desktop Mobile; - Theme content deleted, but I left the icon there because without it the Pesonal menu looks kinda incomplete. I did that change a few roms ago, but I forgot to mention it… that’s what I left it at the end. I didn't cook a M2Dv2 version this thime because I'm thinking of dropping it as I've noticed it causes some problems and I don't have the time to take care of it. Screenshots: (most of the rom looks is the same) Download 22013 Normal Mirror Advancedpcs Mirror Mandrake EDIT 24.04.2010: 24011 Normal/M2Dv2 released! Changes: - new welcome screen, WP7 style; - new WP7 style dialer; - updated default theme with some new good looking elements; - new WP7 lockscreen; - changed the two softkeys, with two useful and functional ones, showed when Titanium is disabled. Screenshots of the newly introduced stuff, the rest of the rom has the same look: Download 24011 Normal Mirror Mandrake Mirror Advancedpcs 24011 M2Dv2 Mirror Mandrake Mirror Advancedpcs EDIT 18.04.2010: 23114 Normal & M2Dv2 released! Useful tips! (more soon...) (I wrote these here, 'cause I noticed many users asking this over and over again): Using XDA_UC to install programs automatically: XDA UC is a brilliant way of installing all your usual cabs after a flash using mort script. The process is fully automatic and requires no user intervention (unless you want to install onto My storage/ Storage card). It will commence a few seconds after starting up and MUST NOT BE INTERRUPTED. Read more about it HERE. This is how to do it: 1. Create a XDA_UC folder on the root of your storage card. In this folder, copy all the cabs you want to have installed onto the main memory. 2. If you want to install onto My Storage/ Storage card, then in the XDA_UC folder, create a folder called SD. In this folder, place all the cabs that want to install onto Storage card/ My Storage. You will have the option where to install them. Please note, if you install a cab that needs restarting after install (e.g Office), DO NOT restart, wait until everything’s installed and then restart manually (You will get a message when it’s all done). If, for some reson the system hangs, just see what cab(s) causes that and move it into that SD folder that allows you to input your options. ............. - if you wanna get rid of those stripes when installing or in certain menus, you have to go to Settings/Home and select your favorite theme; it shows these stripes because no theme is selected… it just loads the default from the rom; ............. - In M2Dv2 version you will have to install this fix for Home Weather to work. Tried to include it in rom, but gave me an error; ............. If anyone wanna help and mirror this files, I would appreciate... B) Also, if you're happy with my work, feel free to donate and respect my hard work. :D Hi guys, I like your hard work. Thank. I just noted, some of the previous function no longer there. 1. Can you add in the Samsug original Keyboard, touch pad, because i download the Samsung T9 cab. but cannot completely loaded. the message come out "click ok to reset" but the screen dont have the "ok" button. 2. The Theme not functioning 3. Now cannot type and read Chinese 4. Can you add in the WMwifirouter 2.0 as well. the latest Wifi Tethering. the version posted in this web, WEP not function. and with weak power management
Guest steff195 Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 (edited) @david8900: first of all, if you read this topic again, please edit your post and delete the whole quote... it's very hard to read your post if you quote my whole first post. Now, to answer you: - the theme submenu wasn't working on 6.5. so I decided to remove the content but, for design sake, I left the icon there, without it the menu looked incomplete; for theme changing check the theme menu under /Settings/Home/Appearance; - about the Samsung Keyboard, install the cab from the latest posts... this should solve your problem with the chinese typing/reading. - about WMwifirouter 2.0, I'll take a look, and if it's worth it, I'll cook it in; EDIT: I took a look and it seems that WMwifirouter 2.0 is a paid application, so I won't cook it in, sorry! Guest wedjat Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 hi steff i have been useing your roms for couple of months now and moved to the newest one now but i have a problem in my home screen i cant update weather allways says no weather data available and before it was fine help plz
Guest Yojik Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 Greets steff! I tried your roms a couple of times, but these always seemed to be a bit "full". Now with the new one, I would like to give it a try. However, I have a problem that persists and it is the web outlook e-mail account. For some reason it always gives an error. I cannot go without it! Could it be possible that you've removed some security settings or other important identification certificates that does not allow me to log on? Even ActiveSync on direct update with the server states an error something of the sort 800700... cannot remember the right code. On another note, kudos on keeping the original Windows volume and removing the other keyboards ... SIPchange is a pain in the ... :) Thanks for your work!
Guest advancedpcs Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 All, Due to unauthorised publication across the net of the files we host on behalf of MoDaCo, we have archived 'OLD' ROM builds by Steff195 on our servers. Only the LATEST variations of builds are now available via the download link on the 1st page, where applicable. It would seem @Mandrake is doing a great job in supporting Steff with their file hosting so we'll concentrate on the other Chef's we support across MoDaCo  We have NOT deleted previous builds (from Jan 2010), but if you do require an old build, please PM us for a direct link. Thank you for understanding and although we now sport the awesome Samsung Galaxy S phone's in our office, we'll still support the [Omnia] chefs on here out of respect for their GREAT work! Enjoy, Advancedpcs :D
