Guest johnny773 Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Just in case anyone wasn't aware of this but spb mobileshell 3.5.2 is currently on sale at 50% off till 30th Dec. Please find link below: http://www.modaco.com/content/forum/298034/view-topic/ I purchased this yesterday & have to say it's really quite good! Cheers
Guest Gary Crutcher Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Folks, an easy, nearly pain-free way to get 10-15MB of ram back is to disable Today if you don't use it. The only price is the Phone button stops working to launch the dialer, but that's a minor issue since most shells provide a widget to get to it. Go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Enabled and set it to 0. Reboot. You'll reclaim this RAM. Other nice thing is that it boots faster, going straight to your shell (in my case and the folks in this thread, MS3). Thanks for the tip. On my O2 the phone button still works after I set Enabled to 0 and rebooted, but I did gain some memory. Thanks again.
Guest dwallersv Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 (edited) Yeah, the button problem is an i920 thing. Edited December 24, 2009 by dwallersv
Guest _RM_ Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 gives to add new widgets in the SPB?
Guest ruggedruffian Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 do you guys use the default samsung apps with SPB Mobile shell? I really dont want a slow phone so I want to try SPB Mobile shell, but does this mean you have to go back to default WinMo apps? A skinned homescreen and a few menus is nice, but to have to go back to default WinMo for everything is kinda... meh =(
