Guest AndrewTan Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 (edited) Small Review + Screenshot Pros: - The most smoother WM build I ever use in OMNIA II - Love the Titanium Today plug-in - 4 rows Main Menu - Better optimize for touch screen - Lesser memory leak issue - Cons: - Large Indicator from Samsung not working properly (may interference with WM one) - Samsung Dialler scrolling bar display incorrectly (use back WM default) - Samsung default application .png icon for shortcut is not working properly due to missing of registry data. (Already solved by import back those registry from original WM 6.5 ROM) Thanks Khuanchai for this great NeoLite ROM. :) Edited January 7, 2010 by AndrewTan

Guest bond_guy_2002 Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 Hi KC, it seems like I am getting low-res images/icons and the WM native settings screens seem stretched. Seems like some parts of this ROM are for WQVGA. Can the base images of the ROM be optimised with WVGA images, do you think?
Guest AndrewTan Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 (edited) Thanks, Andrew for this mini-review and screenshots. It would be nice if you can post your solutions (for ex. registry file or CAB) to solve the problems. Welcome, :) Attached below the registry for fixing the icon using .png (Due to my lazyness, I import the whole start from the original WM 6.5 ROM) Due to different naming in certain Samsung program, you need to rename certain program shortcut to make it working. Original --> Rename SMS-MMS --> Message Touch Player --> Media Player Calendar --> Schedule Phone Book --> Phonebook Smart Converter --> Unit Converter Link: http://rapidshare.com/files/331607626/Start.reg * If you notice your extra install program .png icon not working after this merge, just reinstall that program will solved it, or manually create back the link. For manual edit, follow below instruction: Enable .png as IconGoto HKLM\Security\Shell\StartInfo\StartSelect the .Ink folder you plan to use custom .png as icon.Create New string Value and name it as Icon.Place your .png location path in String area. (Example: \Windows\start_fm_radio.png)Soft reset for icon change in Windows Menu. (Samsung Main Menu icon will immediate change after registry edit) Edited January 7, 2010 by AndrewTan

Guest unholygid2006 Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 just curious.. anyone else experiencing low memory? i'm using the latest L5 eboot csc and phone part.. but i dont know why my ram drops so much even when i installed basic apps like opera mini.. google maps.. windows live.. ahen theme and a few other games which are installed into storage. after reboot i have around 77 mb of ram.. after using the phone a while.. memory drops to 52mb with all background apps closed.is it just me?i never had this problem on kc's 6.1 rom with spb and sense installed. ram stays around 70mb + and i never had to reboot my hp at all. the last time my phone shut down was last thurs due to battery flat. my free ram memory is still at 70mb + now.
Guest nap_rz Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 ^ welcome to WM 6.5.x ^ ^ that's sadly normal :)
