Guest sorg Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 would be good to have arrow as (changable) picture, not as vector.
Guest bluhound Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 (edited) Tested it. Everything works on IJ9 but compass does not work on IJC, IK5, IL2 and IL5. Edited December 29, 2009 by bluhound

Guest tacchan23 Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 does it have a parameter to make a shortcut to launch the torchlight directly?
Guest Rapid81 Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 (edited) does it have a parameter to make a shortcut to launch the torchlight directly? It doesn't. But I was put it to the "to do" list. :) Edited December 30, 2009 by Rapid81
Guest tacchan23 Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 It doesn't. But I was put it to the "to do" list. :) Nice:) that was I was missing in the SSbubble application too!
Guest Kraddel Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 hi, i have some problems with your compass tool. everytime i run this software and then start the camera, there is an error message "could not start camera, no camera module!" (translated from the german "kamera kann nicht gestartet werden, kein kameramodul gefunden!")...is there any solution for this problem? sorry for my bad english...
Guest bluhound Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 Tested it. Everything works on IJ9 but compass does not work on IJC, IK5, IL2 and IL5. Am I the only one who can't get the compass to work on firmwares newer than IJ9?

(translated from the german "kamera kann nicht gestartet werden, kein kameramodul gefunden!")...is there any solution for this problem? sorry for my bad english... I know about this problem. This problem only occurs in this version, it will not occur in the Visual Basic based app. I'm near to the point when i'm release a beta version of that. So far, it works, but I have problems with the image rotation (the .NET Compact FrameWork 3.5 not support it in any way). The compass picture will be changable, but in a difficult way for now. And no background, at least 'till I can make the transparent images to works with Compact FrameWork 3.5 I have a problem where once I install the certs my phone sometimes won't come back on once the screen times out...only remedy is a soft reset or battery pull. when I uninstall the certs...no problems whatsoever... In the word "certs" you mean the Samsung SDK? If yes, then I may have a good news for you. It will not needed to install with the new version, I'll use only the necessary dll-s and I will put it into the installer. But with every good news comes with a bad news. :) To the VB version will need the .NET Compact FrameWork 3.5. Am I the only one who can't get the compass to work on firmwares newer than IJ9? To anyone who can't get the compass to work: 1. Soft reset your phone 2. after you start the app, wave your phone in a figure 8 motion (like in the IPhone) then it will works. I tried it several times. Edited December 30, 2009 by Rapid81
Guest Calan Boo Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 Works great, thanks for an excellent app.
Guest Omega Ra Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 great! I am glad that the new version doesn't need the SDK because that is a pain...
Guest NewForce Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 O2Compass V1.1 I was made a new compass application to Omnia 2. Not a fancy one, but better and has a better looking like the others we saw 'till now. Unfortunately the application needs the Samsung SDK 2.0. Great software bro. Thanks! One wish, I wish this compass could look more like a real compass with fancy graphic background, stylus, and with degree display on the screen too. Can I/we have that Rapid81?

Waving the phone in a figure 8 motion did not work either. I am now on IL2 firmware. When I reverted back to the old IJ9 firmware, it works. To those who managed to get it to work, can you post what firmware revision are you using? From IJC firmware onwards, I couldn't get the compass to work even when I ran from the original LCDTest.exe.

I am also using the Verizon I920 and I installed v1.1 with sdk 2.1.0 on the first post and it's working fine for me (including the flashlight turning on and off). Also I'm not having any problems with the screen timing out at all. Edited December 31, 2009 by 07aspenx
