Guest martinbrook Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 (edited) Signal strength is the key as I posted this link http://is.gd/5WUuD on Jan 9th. Same SIM same base station. T Mobile Pulse -89 dBm (cost 175 GBP) Nexus One -109dBm (cost 400 GBP) Go figure. What about this !! 3G Signal Level Portrait Vs Landscape Edited January 13, 2010 by martinbrook

Guest martinbrook Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 Your hand isn't covering the antenna in the landscape picture. :) But my Pulse works fine in both orientations as should the flagship Nexus One. :)

Guest martinbrook Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 Maybe its antenna is at the top? Maybe, but to design a "superphone" which cannot be held in the natural way in low signal areas is a major failing. YMMV

Guest martinbrook Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Can't get any 3g here on Rogers. Only picks up one provider 'ROGERS 2G'. This is on my Pulse on O2 and the nexus one on orange. So I can't report from here. Anyone else having problems? Talked to HTC? Guest mo_sjo Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 (edited) I have absolutely awful 3G service on my Nexus One with O2. I couldn't get 3G/HSDPA in major towns such as Brentwood, Romford and Upminster. Running some datalogging, it's very infrequent it will actually see 3G speeds. Edited January 26, 2010 by mo_sjo
