Omnia 2 AMDZero 23569 Rom Base/Lite

Hey,

Can someone highlight the differences of this rom from ninja or yardi? I'm prob gonna give it a try today, and I'd sure appreciate info on anything new/different to look for.

I have tried every ROM I could find on this site, (and even a few other sites!), the ones from AMDZero, Yardi4Life and Ninji4hire are the cleanest and most complete. Each cook has there own spin on what they do, so its difficult to says one is better then the other. The closest thing I could say is its like Pizza. Everyone has their favorite pizza, but you can find good pizza in lots of places.

Just load them and take then for a spin for a few days to a week each. Ask the cooks questions. Load your personal apps. Everyone has there own preferences and needs.

I have to say all of you who work on this stuff are great. I have been watching forums and I only watch in awe of all the hard work you guys put into this stuff, and do it freely.

aaahhh, that makes sense. I was trying to fix what was already fixed! Thanks.

so far the rom is flawless, I installed the two wave files to eliminate the battery charged sound, and set the backlight to auto (help with battery drain) and so far its perfect! awesome job amdzero!

Don't know if I missed it in the text somewhere so I am going to post it here.

I cannot get the favorites function of the samsung dialer to work after flashing with this rom. It goes through the motions, but never stores a favorite for me.

Anyone else getting this issue?

I also messed up and changed the background and have no idea where the original is. LOL> I just used another black one I had from the Gchris titanium mod I use to run.

I'm not very fond of the "smart lock" and i can't seem to get the standard WM 6.5 lock screen to work(is it gone?). I can't seem to find a good set of settings for the Smart Lock to work how i want it to.

I liked Samsungs Task Switcher is there a cab for it? i've seen some requests for it but haven't been able to find it. i guess i could use showcase if it's not out there but i'd like something other than the WM Task Manager.

In a previous post i talked about things in the startup folder and i see the bticon shortcut is still there. It doesn't need to be if i'm using the rom without your icons right?

What exactly does AutoClosePatch and Autodataconfig do? is there no way to change registry settings or something to do the same thing so we won't need these in the startup?

Yeah, it looks like I made a mistake and cooked in autoclosepatch when the author clearly doesn't want it to be included in cooked roms. So I'm removing it from future builds and I'll post a link in the future.

nice.. i wasn't expecting autodataconfig to be from microsoft. Thanks though, just trying to figure out what all is running on my O2 and what could be disabled.

I'm trying to treat it like the PC's i use lol. If a process is not valuable to me, even if it isnt taking much ram or cpu usage to run it, why have it running?

On Friday my phone was at 65% when I went to sleep but it was dead in the morning. I fully recharged it on saturday morning and on sunday morning it was dead again? Very Strange. I reloaded the stock ROM and am repeating the test again tonight. I was using the Lite ROM.

I don't have a cab for Task Manager, but I'll up the exe and you can copy it to the start menu and then even map it to a button if you like.

Yes it works perfectly, and no the big "V" won't charge you anything as all data goes through the phone... as if the phone were only on the internet.

one thing I have noticed is for the google search it says its launching opera but nothing happens, I think itdoesn't recognize the opera 10 link

it was on the base rom, also if clicking a link from an email nothing launches.

It is because the program I put in puts an ADDITIONAL bt icon in the taskbar, and when blue tooth turns and connects it displays the connected icon. I don't like it either and am looking for a replacement.

Yes - it is too limited. and when I try and use Showaco or manually edit registry from the articles I read on line I end up reseting my phone becuase I hose up my today screen - ( Lol)
