I think that it isint as good as Rodrigo Leo2 Fusion ROM. Is has many bugs, and you have to install many program, and fixes, and other stuff. And still it isnt the same. In Rodrigo ROM you have full package from HD2. All program for messaging, for calling and others. And here you have to install it alone.

You say that you have "About 40-45MB and booted this morning (12 hours ago)" and I have on Rodrigos ROM 50MB RAM free now, and i have more programs than you have. and it looks better (icons, dialer, messager etc.).

Untill there will be no full working version for i8000 there is no sense to play with it. Just take full working ROM and have fun. Maybe there will be a new realase of this ROm, and then we will be all happy;)

ethier way that is not enough ram. we need someone to build us a Rod like wm 6.1 rom. then it will all be perfect.

ok the biggest "issue" right now seems to be Messaging_client.exe Is it a similar issue to the album searcher.exe where it needs to be signed?

Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi!

I have to agree with all of you. Yes, there is bugs, yes there are fixes, patches etc, BUT that way of using Manila Sense 2.5 is suitable for people who don't want to flash their phones. I understand that it is better to use that already cooked in a single ROM, but all we bought OMNIA 2 to experiment with it. If we wonted we could by a HTC HD2!

I personally like O2 and its software that's why I "remove" Master Rodrigofd's ROM. Probably I'll re-flash it again, but for now it is quite good looking and working for me. I read Modaco's forum every day, almost all day long, and collecting your opinions.

We can ask Rapid81 and Noooboody to write some additional fixes or even cook a ROM. That is just an idea, of course.

Work this new version of manila in a WM 6.5.5 rom? I tryed to install a previous version of manila from the first post, in kstan 6.5.3 rom and get an error after 30 minuts of installation.

I think that version will work, but it depends of free memory on My storage. When I was using Secany's JA5, just after flashing the phone I had about 113MB free ROM, and after installing everything it left me 2-3MB free.That's why you need a Lite ROM

Hello. The point of impossibility to change wallpaper is value of the reestr, calling "Home.Wallpaper Path". If we change it manually, on the path to our image - wallpaper will work. The problem is, that Manila can't change it itself.

Sense 2.5 is great, I'm desperately want to install it on my omnia 2, but it doesn't matter how many time i tried,i was always stuck at "Tap to launch HTC Sense".

Here was what i did, did i do something wrong?

1. Hard reset.

2. Install .net CF 3.5, checked in registry and changed .net cf 2.0 string to 0, 3.5 string to 1. Soft reset.

3. Install OpenGLESv1 (0.26)

4. Install SDKcerts.cab

5. Install Audiomanager.cab

6. Install OemDiamAudioMgr.cab

7. Install 2.5 2012.1225.cab (I even tried installing 04. fi. Sense 2.1.1920.3317 for WM6.1, and the one posted in the #1 post of this topic instead. But none of them worked)

8. Soft reset. Stuck at "Tap here to launch", it wouldn't start up.

I installed all of the above cabs to device memory and my phone runs 6.1 btw.

Please, could someone tell me where i did wrong and if you're kind enough, please post a zip with all the components you have installed including the 2.5 version that's working for you.

Try installing the build in the beginning of the post. That's the only one that works for me. 2011 and 2012 will not work for me on my i920. 2011 completely removes the standard messaging program and 2012 wont even boot.

Thnks. The only problem is i'm using the original 6.1 ROM, so i dont have enough space to install the one in this post.

I'm happy with 2.1 but it restarted every 4/5 seconds, can't really use it.

Guess I'll stick with 1.3 for now.

Edit : btw, did 2011 start up for you? 'Cause i think there's a fix on xda that disabled HTC messaging, that might fix the problem.

2011 booted up just fine. It just completely removed all links to the built in sms messaging program.

1.) My Calendar cannot display my appointment properly. It shows appointments 1 sec only then change to "no appointment" immeidately. Sense's home screen cannot display my appointment properly as well. Any solution?

2.) How can I change the font on Sense2.5 using?

It must be real fun to play around with yr phone like this. The give and take in this thread makes great reading.

But I am curious to know, how many of you guys are using a single machine and doing these experiments on that ? I mean, with such unstable system. Also I have always felt that main purpose of these roms are to change the today screen, which seems to be a overkill.

My problem is that I actually love the black high contrast skin of samsung. All other such skins do not extend to every feature like this one. I do not like the sms/email setup of the default rom but not very comfortable with those out there, The best one's do not have a black skin anyway.

The other problem is contact. I have installed inesoft after using almost all the other options incl <phon-ex> and found ine.. most stable though not black skin (sigh). Swype is great for writting and made for omnia so can't let that go. Finally I am using outlook with activesync for email and getting my mails from gmail as quickly as possible for a free service and very good battery usage.

BTW, my main memory shows 85 megs free on soft reset and I have currently 16 different programs on my machine over and above the samsung stuff (which cannot be deleted anyway). Beat that

1.) I didn't noticed that, because I hadn't use it at all. I'm not an expert. I'll look is there any answer in the forums and I'll post answer.

2.) Please post a picture or describe it. Maybe there is a registry entry that must be changed.
