Guest connectpda
VTorch 0.1 After trying several torch & flash programs. I have decided to write my own. This is a simple application which will switch on/off the camera flash for the selected time (default time is 1 minute). NOTE: I have only tested this application on my Omnia II I8000. I don't know if it works on other devices. Requirements: 1. .NETCF 2.0 and above 2. Samsung Windows Mobile SDK 2.0 Install: Run the VTorchSetup.cab file. It will create a shortcut in "Start Menu\Programs" folder. You can map this shortcut to any hardware button. Usage: 1. Select for how long you want the light to be on. 2. Press the button "On". 3. Now if you press the button "Off" then it is switched off immediately. If not then it will switch off automatically after the selected time is elapsed. Caution: Leaving the light on for long durations may drain your battery. Screenshot: Attached Files: VTorchSetup.CAB

Guest c3p9
I've read in many forums that having the led on for more than a couple of seconds can possibly fry the led itself resulting in a "damaged" device. Anyone has enough experience/expertise on this to post a comment?
Guest
I don't think so: what about filming on devices that have leds? They can be left on for a whole hour if needed, and that's the way from the OEM
Guest Rapid81
I've read in many forums that having the led on for more than a couple of seconds can possibly fry the led itself resulting in a "damaged" device. Anyone has enough experience/expertise on this to post a comment? I'm using the mymade O2Flash and I used it for over a half an hour when I was searched for something. The led still works perfectly! Anyone has enough experience/expertise on this to post a comment? It is confirmed that LEDs can be on for a long time. The "frying" problem is very likely related to mobile phones which uses Xenon light instead of white LEDs.
