How did you go about installing app2sd, is it included in your rom? If not, could you make one with app2sd?

Yes, in my RBM2 CustomRom app2sd is included and works! I will upload my CustomRom at Modaco if Paul? allow this!

But you have a U8220 or not? I think then the touch will not work - the same if i flash a u8220 rom!

Would it be possible to do the opposite?

I mean a ROM for the t-mobile pulse U8220 with the red bull theme instead of the crappy pink stuff.

That would be perfect :(

No, not exactly. I would maybe like to make my own custom ROM.

So what I wanted to know was what you did to get A2SD in your ROM :(

Did you just add a symlink in init.rc?

BigBear

No, i put the file apps2sd in the bin-folder, the e2fsck in the xbin-folder, a sd-folder with a placeholder in the root of the system-folder... i compared the full mcr 1.1 with my customrom... and all works perfect! ;-)

Yes,... you must also modify the update-script and the init.rc

Compare your customrom with MCR - make all changes and it will work! <_<

I will post my changes this week

Hah, this is making me go nuts, I still get the problem where the phone stops detecting the simcard. There must be some kind of conflict somewhere, the only things I've added this time is ramzswap, a2sd and busybox (wich I know is working together with the phone on the original rooted firmware). What in the world that are inside of these startup-scripts and executables could collide with the sim-management of my phone?

Hey... it's interesting... in your build.prop i've read thats your device is a U8226 <_<

I've done the same like my CustomRom ... test this one U8226 CustomRom Swedaco rooted-signed.zip

Thanks for making me the rom !

However it seems to be corrupt, when I flash my phone it tells me "Corrupt file: system/lib/libopencorecommon.so E:Verification failed". To solve this I also tried to unpack your zip on my desktop, but it told me that something went wrong when unpacking it.

I ignored this error and replaced the libopencore-file with another one, I zipped and signed it. When I tried to flash it, I got an error telling me it couldn't find the update-script. It's there, I've doubled-checked it, copied the update scripts from my other roms and updated it with the information that should be within, but it just doesn't work. I've also tried re-downloading the zip, but to no avail. Therefore my guess is that your zip is somehow corrupt, perhaps the one I sent you was in some way even?

you have to delete the cert files and let the update-script file inside! <_< - then sign it again and try again!

Didn't work, it still keeps asking for the update script, I've even tried placing it in different folders too but it won't find it . I'm guessing it's because the zip is somehow corrupt.

Do you have partitioned your SD-Card correct? Rest space Fat32 and 512MB ext3?

Do you have USB-Debugging turned on for root access? Then Titanium backup will ask you if you want root access for this application - allow that!

Another question: Do you have a french pack installed or only my german one?

Sorry for asking and bothering you again, but have you tried anything else with the rom I sent you? I ran a series of tests today, where I first transferred most of the files from modaco to my stock rom (without writing over any existing ones), I tried to step by step removing things I had added both in the update-script and in /system to see if I could get my gsm/3gconnection working again. THis without success, I still have no connection to the network, and the phone doesn't ask for the pin to my sim.

I'm really dumbstruck here :)! I guess it could help if you told me exactly what files you copied from modaco into the stock rom, and what exacts edits you made in init.rc and the update-script and so on.

Try "adb kill-server" then "adb start-server" and then "adb shell". When you're in the shell, type "mount -a", ignore the errors (if any), type exit and then unplug the usb-cable and go out of USB-MS. Try to do your backup now, it should work :).
