Guest medellinrob Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 (edited) My Omnia has 16gb as well. It from Bell, though. I went to bell.ca and it was there, but I would not able to buy, in step 2 I need to select my Canadian Area. Ebay.ca has it on bidding. Before I Bid... Could the first persons to respond they have a 16GB omnia II confirm if there is another way to get them? or is yours from bell as well? Edited February 23, 2010 by medellinrob

It's still it's a fair price, not cheap, but not expensive. And If I remember correctly it was $550 ($549.95) without any plan. Locked network (unlockable for $15 USD), but not locked to a contract. Then again, I did not get very far.

Guest medellinrob Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 I have a 16GB version mine is 16 GB also. i am currently using one with 16gig i flashed to the 6.5.3 rom @ ALL: Could you all confirm if they are i8000L from bell? Or is there another source of those phones. I'm 2 days away from getting one at ebay @ REDOXY: What 6.5.3 Roms have you tried and which one would you recommend?
Guest Nablet Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 (edited) It all depends on price. Where I live the Omnia II was the best in its price range. There're much better phones but they cost a lot more, for me, and just not worth the extra cash. I have only had programmes close on me once and that was when I was testing how many I could run with Widgets and all the stupidity of Samsung enabled. With disabled I have been able to run eight programmes (MSN, Opera, three games, text, watching a film and other I can't remember), the phone lagged but nothing closed and once I had closed three of those programmes the phone was back to its usual self. I have absolutely no problem with the phone and also don't mind using a stylus. Being honest it is my first 'smart' phon, so I am inexperienced in this field and, were I to buy a phone now, I don't know whether I'd buy the Omnia II again or not. I would have liked to buy a phone with 512MB RAM, or close to it, but they're all way out of my reach. What I really don't understand is why people complain about the lack of memory. What could you possibly be doing that eight programmes running simultaneously isn't enough for you. Edited February 24, 2010 by Nablet

When I am driving, I have Garmin XT running with my music and at times, the experience is less than acceptable. Having an average of 25MB free because of today screen mods and mobile shell ect...is pretty crappy when you have bought a phone under the assumption that it has 256MB usable memory. although I do not experience closing of apps, I do however find my media player lacks the stability that IPhone offers. After turning my today screen off, I have had no issues. But I really should not have to turn it off. There are some really cool features to the today screens these days, but is a bit of a hog. For example, try running Jumba (a nice-looking, but straightforward game) with anything else open. Try running SPB with Elegance and browsing much with Opera 10. Sure, if you turn off today or have few other services running, you can do a fair amount. But if you want to customise, it's painful! Edited February 27, 2010 by corny2007
