Guest syncro Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 disc0, you do not need explain your self or ask for "forgivness" for not working fast enough. Your work (and all devs contributing) are highly appriciated, it is amazing the effort you put in to this on your spare time. Thanks. I feel like fredr33... only a stupid lamer can overstress a good worker like disc0! Go straight a head man! your work is really appreciated! :(
Guest disc0 Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Here is the new partition strucutre dev: size erasesize name mtd0: 000a0000 00020000 "misc" mtd1: 00500000 00020000 "recovery" mtd2: 00500000 00020000 "boot" mtd3: 08000000 00020000 "system" mtd4: 0c0c0000 00020000 "userdata" mtd5: 05960000 00020000 "cache" mtd6: 00200000 00020000 "kpanic" mtd7: 00040000 00020000 "dinfo" mtd8: 00060000 00020000 "setupdata" mtd9: 00080000 00020000 "splash1" mtd10: 01380000 00020000 "modem" ==> kpanic, splash1 and modem partition where added. Here are the changes kpanic : added on mtd6 (replace dinfo) dinfo : mtd6 =>mtd7 setupdata : mtd7 => mtd8 splash1 : added on mtd9 modem : added on mtd10 I know, but think we don't need to backup those partitions, at least kpanic.. I'm still writing a new recovery binary from the sources, making it work better and giving a bit more information to the user and is working (: .. I will start working in the compatibility now.. disc0, you do not need explain your self or ask for "forgivness" for not working fast enough. I know, only said that because didn't worked much on Android last days, but think I can back to work now.. (;

Guest malez Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Witch rom version are you using ??? Your paritions don't match mines! I'm using ACER_LiquidE_0.004.01_EMEA_GEN1 .. I only have up to mtd7.. BTW, succefully did a nandroid backup in eclair EDIT: ok, found the problem.. Recovery only lists up to mtd7, in normal mode they all show. I am using the same rom as you are. Recovery don't show setupdata. It only give access to dev: size erasesize name mtd0: 000a0000 00020000 "misc" mtd1: 00500000 00020000 "recovery" mtd2: 00500000 00020000 "boot" mtd3: 08000000 00020000 "system" mtd4: 0c0c0000 00020000 "userdata" mtd5: 05960000 00020000 "cache" mtd6: 00200000 00020000 "kpanic" mtd7: 00040000 00020000 "dinfo" The setupdata partition was backed up with previous version. I am trying to gain access to it in recovery mode. Moreover i managed to dump iits content and it contains the name of all partition and maybe base address of each one. Its size stay unchanged compared to 2.000.16 as it is completed with FF until its size is exactlyd 396 216 bytes. So I think we must dump it. I send the dump made on ACER_LiquidE_0.004.01_EMEA_GEN1 in the postsetupdata.img
