I can also confirm... no reboots and no FCs. Before update I also had stable ROM but it coudnt mont SD and it had problems with live wallpaper. All of that is fixed now. Vibration works and only complain (if you just have to pick something) is that with new framework in status bar all letter remained black so now you dont see those...like a message text you recieve and network ID and stuff like that... honestly for me that is not important at all, and if ROM stays this stabile always, I dont need a fix for that)

According to 3 Sweden (the only telecompany in Sweden who are selling U8220) there will be no 2.1 update.

If this is true or just some dull way to make us buy another phone I cannot tell.

My guess is that they're just taking this information from Huawei Support-forums from the thread "[New Information] About Android 2.1 of Huawei U8220& U8230" but I don't know.

Also, is it true that Android 2.2 takes up less internal memory and that that upgrade would be possible?

I only bought Pulse because I need a smartphone, it was accessible in price (since I really don't have too much money to throw around), and because I heard that 2.1 is coming for sure! And now this! If this is true - I would like to go to T-Mobile store and throw it into someones head!

Feel like a was cheated (not to use stronger word) ... as I'm sure many of you Pulse owners feel now ...

About 2.2: it seems to make sense that 2.2 would work since it's more optimized as Google itself states and it uses less memory for system. But to expect that Huawei will do something about it - I'm now unfortunately 100% convinced that they wont do anything about it and they will simply let us hang on old 1.5 version. Great support! Just great! I got more updates on my old "stupid" Nokia ...

I don't think we ever got official confirmation from T-Mobile that the upgrade was coming for sure, so I don't think that guy was giving you official information. He probably shouldn't have said that, especially if it influenced you decision to get the phone.

I don't want you guys to do something stupid, and screw up your Pulse.

As I saw there's now even a fix for vibration, so I guess there's no reason for me to upload it.

I think you're under-weighting the consequences of installing this update...

I screwed up my Pulse, I cant use bluetooth anymore, I can't return to the good [best] old 1.7 Vanilla MCR, I can't apply the dec update etc...

Given that the official word from [email protected] back in January was

We are planning to develop the ROM 2.0 and 2.1, the ROM 2.0 may be released before April and at the same time we need to get approval from T-Mobile.

You may have grounds to return the device as unfit for purpose, as the purpose you bought it was to run the 2.x Firmware on it.
