Guest Rizzly Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 (edited) Is there any chance Froyo can run on Pulse? It isn't arrive with other kernel? To be honest I'm actually starting to hope that Huawei just throw 2.1 in the bin and go directly at 2.2, since 2.1 seems to take such a long time to ship anyway. It would make more sense to release a weak device such as the pulse with 2.2 as well, having in mind a more stable and hopefully faster JIT-compiler than the 2.1 JIT. Edited May 20, 2010 by Rizzly

Is there anyway we can throw that on huawei's table? Don't know if their board is the best way in.
Guest screwface Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 We'll find out if 2.2 requires a new kernel today.

Guest Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 Hey, Huawei has released some new information about the 2.1 update on their support forum, however, it's unreachable, at least for me. Anyone who can reach that thread and post what it says here?

Guest Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 What are you? A caveman!? 2.2 is where it's at! And no, we can't get to it  Haha, yeah, I just went back a few pages and read everyting new, sucks that the U8220 has so little internal memory, but if the G1 can run 2.2 then there should be no problem making it run smoothly on U8220, right? :D

Guest arlindo.costa Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 From the Huawei forum [New Information] About Android 2.1 of Huawei U8220& U8230 Dear All , I am sorry for the delayed informations of Android 2.1(Eclair), within few days some new models like U8100,U8110 ,U8500&C8600 will launch in market with ROM 512M ,RAM 256M & Android 2.1 OS. The reason for U8220& U8230 Android 2.1 coming late & late, the key difficulty is the small RAM (192M) of old U82XX,The currently Eclair`performance runing in U8230/U8220 is bad ,the defect includings outgoing&incoming display shows low,new SMS display shows low & big size website sometimes could not be opened etc.So we need more time to observe& improve it ,we could not offer fixed time when we will ralease the Eclair for U82XX.
Guest Epic-Emodude Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 From the Huawei forum If thats the case how comes no-ones reported that with Paul & Bobos ROM. Does that mean theyve broken it even more?
