[ROM] Sinan's I8000 JF5 WM6.1 UltraLite Rom [Discontinued]

assalamualikum sinan,

I n my opnion ur first 6.1 lite rom was the best i never faced any issues or conflicts with any programs, now face some issues with sms mms, which the basic functions for me, and sending multiple sms is just a pain, but Sinan its wat I faced, thank u very much for the efforts, I really appriciate, may be tonight will get back to your first 6.1 lite rom. I am still figuring out things to solve in this rom, I am still loving this rom :huh: well ur work is the best for me :P take care

I'm planning to update JD1 OEM to JD4 when I have some free time. JD1 is made for 6.5.3 which has the bottom start menu. But we use wm6.1 and top bar start menu, it causes some issues on some programs. I think JD4 oem and its programs will be better

Sinan, I uninstalled the 6.1 ROM because I had a problem with Skyfire. I don't know if you have the same problem or it's just me, but after a soft reset Skyfire shows the splash screen at launch, but closes. Because Skyfire is very important to me, I uninstalled it :-/. Had no more problems (other than the impossibility of connecting to PC).

Open folder Aplication Data > delete Skyfire folder and run now :huh:

To those wondering why Skyfire couldn't work, try going to settings/connections/USB to PC and untick enable advanced network functionality.

This should help. At least it worked for me

Very simple. I recommend you try as I mentioned, of course do not forget the DNS settings :huh:

deleted the "pref" and tried many dns setting but nothing changed.. problem occurs...

I guess you've flashed with a CSC or you've forgotten choosing "Erase CSC" option in Octan settings

my rom uses completely wm6.1 OS and naturally, it uses wm6.1's internet explorer.

When I was cooking roms for toshiba g900 we had tried it and didn't work well. Your answer is no but I'm not sure

Guys, I want to make it clear.

Using WM6.5 native kernel doesn't mean you are using something from wm6.5 OS

There are two kernel in your devices. One is MSXIPKERNEL that comes from Microsoft. You have to use appropriate OS and MSXIPKERNEL combination, you can't use WM6.5 MSXIPKERNEL with wm6.1 build

Other one is OEMXIPKERNEL that comes from samsung which is much more important for us. This kernel involves nk.exe and it runs all your hardware(that's why I have to use it for the new free ram came with JDx eboot) You can use it with any OS or MSXIPKERNEL.

I say wm6.5 native kernel because Samsung made it for wm6.5 for slot modules

great work !!! fastest i've tested

i'm still having problem with usb active sync ..... but the bigger problem i've encountered is i think opengl related .... when i press the carousel key of SPB shell it hangs the phone .... this is using your latest upladed rom

hmmm weird .... it must be SPB problem and not opengl ..... contacts carousel works fine .... menus carousel hangs the phone

SOLVED !!! weird ..... i just turned off "use 3d accelator" in SPB .... it worked .... amazing rom !!! the carousel now works flawlessly amazing speed .... i have always disliked using the carousel of SPB .... but with your ROM there is no lag whatsoever !!!!

I'm using the XXJD1 (the first w6.5 rom) .. but the proximity sensor is dead .. and there's no cab in the Advanced folder to activate it .. can someone please upload it for me ??
