it's not so difficult to use ..... as posted in the first page .... ultralite R0M is for the advanced users ..... people who know what they want to include/exclude from the r0m .... that's why there are cabs provided as well.

samsung dialer adds about 10mb ram usage hence ultralite users don't prefer to use it. Many advanced users prefer using other keyboard than samsung's keyboard. FM radio i think isn't included because it would save you space as it can be installed in my storage as no other apps "call" it or use it.

WM settings is part of the R0M.

This is the best rom,I ve flashed 8mb pagepool one and installed net framework 3.5(the first),a program for phone, contacts and calls,samsung settings,iphone today,g-alarm,fingerkeyboard 2.1,samsung touch player,and a lot of things but it still in 115 mb of ram avaliable at boot up,so I dont think to go back to 6.5 6.5.x or any other rom.You are the best man and very intelligent to cook 6.1 roms because is the only way to have a fast,stable rom.I dont have any trouble with sync and I dont need opengl because I never play any 3d game or spb shell.sorry my english but I have to comment something about this great rom.

the only problem is office 6.1,i couldnt make it work with the cab of first post,so Im looking for a cab for this,If somebody could provide a cab for the rom would be great.Bye.

With my skin of Wad and some others apps I have about 100 Mb free Ram and the UI that I prefer.

I was so excited with your ROM that I flashed my Omnia II with your ultralite ROM the very next day of my purchase! I'm quite happy with the possibility of installing only those that I like, and have a snappy phone. However, after doing this, I can't connect my phone with ActiveSync. I use a Win Vista 64bit computer, and I've tried all that I am aware of, like,

Updated the drivers

Rebooted the device/computer

Did a hard-reset twice

Tried connecting with Samsung New PC Studio as well as Kies

Topping it all, the device freezes. It doesn't even turn-off with the button press. I have to reset or remove the battery. When connecting as Mass Storage, I see no problems. I used your JD4 UltraLite ROM leaving my CSC unaltered(for safety?!). And some CAB files don't work, and some open in a corner of the screen. And Samsnng Widgets don't work at all. Now I'm wondering if in case I'd have to return the phone during warranty, if there is any way I could flash back my Stock ROM(PDA: I8000DDII3 from I8000NXXJD4).

I'm beginning to get desparate! I've spent a little over 500$ on this mobile. Is there anything else I could do to solve the issues? The cabs that aren't working are,

wes romtool doesn't seem to change the page pool size .... no errors encountered .... but page pool remains at 4mb.

i unchecked delete temporary files .... and the tmpOs.nb.NEW seems to have the right new page pool .... but octans won't accept tmpOs.nb.NEW .... even renaming it made no difference. Help please

you can easily flash back to your official Rom .... even though active sync may not work properly.

not using active sync is one thing i've learned to live without. i use PIMbackup to save my data. as for other apps you just need to find the right versions that would work .... you could try active sync thru bluetooth ... i think that works.

Q: Some programs are not working

A: If your program needs .net library, Install NetCF. I removed NetCF because you can install newer versions to storage card or my storage without losing main storage. NET required apps: Fingerkeyb, NoData, G-alarm, O2flash, O2compass etc

Q: Will you add XDA_UC into rom?

Some apps don't work too(Eg: Advanced config, etc.). they give error when launching the program(saying that some certificate is invalid or something is missing, and asks me to reinstall or restore the files). Others that aren't working are, sinans i8000 widget,wallpaper changer, a couple of worldcup CABs.

And now, the device freezes more often. I still have more than 100MB RAM and more thn 200MB ROM. I did not erase or add a different CSC file during flash. I just wanted to keep with the stock Phone and CSC. Could this have been a problem??

The problem is simple, you haven't read anything :) I recommend you to use full roms, not even lite roms.

Hello u need to install netcf35 for the advance config to work, google it u can find the cab, if u dont then let me know I will send u the link, lots of new softwares and cab needs netcf35, al the best, I am using Sinans's rom JUJ1 its most stable after trying all I am stuck to JUJ1 its snappy, lots of space, and best part I have shell, today 2 and, widget plus all in works like a charm, thanx to sinan, our man, thank u sinan once again. Hope saolve ur problems I am sure here lots of ppl can solve ur problem, if I can be of any help u r welcome.

after changing pagepool to 10mb and re flashing .... sad to say "My Storage" dissapeared on me .... i've flashed my o2 so many many times already and i hardly ever had problems .... although this is the 2nd time "My Storage" disappeared on me :)

did u enable netcF in windows registry ? after u install it you have t0 enable it by changing registry settings

No, I didn't enable the registry setting! Did I miss that instruction in the discussion. I went through all 26 pages before flashing my phone. Anyway, can you share the registry setting that needs to be changed, please?
