Bottom Line: I used the XP simple method in x64 Vista and I had no problem at all.

But read the whole story if you want to know more.

I read all warning and steps.

I saw that I should Use XP (I don't have that)

If I wanted to use vista it had to be 32bits (I don't have that)

Win7 could be 64bits, but not vista. (I don't have that)

I have Vista 64bits and I couldn't find anything for it. I could not install Vista Drivers; I didn't want to check if I could "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement" as advised for X64 Windows 7....

So I took no heed, took a deep breath, installed Samsung_CDMA_modem_4_1_.34, ran octans 2.14, selected PDA and Started right away. No problem whatsoever and now I have a Flashed i8000L.

(Just one Vistaish thing to do: WMDC settings, change as advised, don't allow first box, check second box)

Now, I'm just reporting, I'm not advising you reader to do the same. I will take no responsability if you brick your O2, or something similar. I have a PC that seems a bit compatible with everything. It's my first x64 PC and I don't know if every one, but mine installs must software in "Program Files (x86)" and perhaps that because it has something to be compatible. Then again, maybe every X64 Vista PC.

Device: Bell 16GB GT-i8000L

PDA: Rodrigo's HD2 Leo2 Fusion / BETA 2

PC: Dell XPS intel centrino2 6GB RAM

OS: x64 Vista SP

Software: Octans Downloader 2.14

Driver: Samsung_CDMA_modem_4_1_.34

Never restarted.

Hope it helps some one, and hope it doesn't ruins anyone.
