Pagepool changes the amount of free ram and cache. The higher the pagepool,

the lower free ram.

Some people say a pagepool of 12-16MB is optimal, but it depends on programs

installed, used and how you use your phone.

For me, 8MB pagepool works fine.

I don't see any difference with 8 MB.

Thanks for ROM GC! Couple of questions if I may: I dont see in Samsung settings an option to make close (cross) button to actually close application instead of leaving it in memory. Where is it?

Also I know you said you removed all except english. I'm trying to figure out how to return switching keyboard to russian. Is it in one of those MUI files? I just need to know what direction to look...

The "X" button has been pre-set during cooking, but as usual, does not work properly.

All language keyboards have been left in - Russian should work. Press and hold MODE/xt9 key for keyboard selection.

I use "13 May 2010: JE1 Lite version", and have the following problem:

Not retain the settings in - Settings> Network Settings> GPS> XTRA

After starting the "Enable XTRA Server" and validation, then he is off again?! Does not remember settings... Where in the registry can I change so that XTRA be plugged ON?

Unzipped the attached file , used resco Explorer for copy and overwrite the ROM file in the windows directory. It worked for me.

i would just like the messaging(email) in this rom to be skinned in Samsung style if possible.

becouse there was a try to replace the tmail.exe and instead of e-mail, im now seeing sms, e-mail is not accessable at all ...

the file that i previeusley replaced was tmail.exe

The default is 8PP PagePool.

I have not removed the Samsung dialer, so should be working.

This one is 23662.5.3.6. Updated SYS files only, NOT OEM files.

What issues with JE3?

Sorry Gary I meant JE2 (wishful thinking... :lol: probably)...

My issues were personal likes, nothing major if I remember well, as I like the 6.5 more than 6.5.x...

Yes the Samsung dialer is included (the messaging application as well).

With 8MB PP, after boot I have 90MB, and after messing around a bit, I have about 65-75MB.

I realised the downloading speed was related the Football game. I finally downloaded "GC_JE3_23662_Lite" with 150kb/s after the football. Now on testing phase.

Almost got an iphone but decided to stick to WM, too many iphone lovers out there and they annoy me with their ramblings.
