How to finally fix some of the sms bugs?

Samsung's sms messaging got some annoying problems like when you want to type ? or ! you must turn off xt9 to get to type the symbol you want. The same problem happens when you want to type . or , too. Incredible that these idiotic bugs haven't been fixed ;) ...not to mention the sms sent notification!!

Well, I've been using the rom with htc sense 2.5 lately, and I noticed these bugs are non existing when using htc messaging. When using samsung messaging in the very same rom (you can use both), the problems are back.

The problem is most likely some registry entries, I guess....so, is there any brains out there which could compare the sms registry keys for both htc and samsung, and see if the solution to these problems finally can be found?
