Wi-Fi Automatic Disconnection

I don’t know why, but even with all the appropriate Wi-Fi configurations to never turn off Wi-Fi and to never power save – sometimes my phone seems to disconnect from the router when it goes into sleep mode. All I notice is when I wake up the phone that it reconnects to the router.

Is this a problem with the phone or the router?

Sometime, I need the phone to always be connected to the Wi-Fi (for Skype).
