Linpack is an application which benchmarks the speed of your Android device. You can post the result of your benchmark to a web page, and the top 10 (fastest) results for each device are displayed there. So it would seem that Paul managed to speed up the Legend somehow since a stock Legend gets a result of about 2.5-2.6 (his got 4.394). And the screenshot says "HTC Legend MCR r3", so it would seem r3 is on it's way..

I guess it'll be a pretty long wait, considering that there maybe won't even be a FroYo update for the Legend. At least not an official HTC one.

In the Recovery menu, do wipe data and the original Contacts application will appear =)

EDIT: sorry for the empty post.

Reading more carefully this thread, I noticed that my problems are similar to the ones met by other people. Basically, they can be summed up as follows:

- Applications that are not standard (i.e . the ones that do not come with the phone) disappear at some reboots

- When they do not disappear, they force close each time they are started.

- No sign of Amazon MP3 and OpenVpn binary (not even tun.ko in the filesystem)

Can I ask what people do to avoid these problems. Are people waiting for the new r3 from Paul? Are they using some different rom? In that case, which one?. I only actually need a2sd and vpn, so if there are ways to add these to the standard root ROM, that would be enough for me.

I've tried two of the pre-baked ROMs - the one with default options and the one with no additional options...

The result - a bit of disappointment :o

When I saw the result of Paul's Legend on Linpack I thought - that's what I want.. BUT I got only 2.7-2.8 :(

Funny, because with the standard ROM I got usually like 2.4-2.7...

That's why I switched back to the original one.. Now waiting for Froyo (hopefully not too long) or... something else.

Anyway, I should give my appreciation to Paul's work with hope to get more attention to us - the deprived Legend owners :(

Here's question...using R2 ROM, I have to install MoreLocal2 to set my Legend's localization& language（which is China PRC，not supported by default）. Although it works well with Chinese，I still hope someday that I don't need the APP to set my localization& language. Is there any chance...

i have just installed - r3.1 ROM with default MoDaCo additions and A2SD+ onto my htc legend, *does this mean i have A2SD in my legend ?*,i have partition it to

number start end size type file system flags

the problem is my apps is not going into my sd card. may i know what did i went wrong ??

I have problem on the chinese input keyboard. After installing r2 MoDaCo Custom ROM with HTC CIME Chinese input, i was unable to type chinese while messaging. When i press on the "GEAR" icon, no Chinese input method available for me to choose. I could find the Chinese input in Setting, however. It just don't allow me to interchange between English & Chinese while messaging. Any idea?

According to this post, MoDaCo MRC for the Desire has an updated bluetooth stack.

Is this true for Legend MRC too? I'm having similar problems.
