When I first flash my cooked ROM, the Samsung WidgetPlus screen comes up but then goes away. Any suggustions? I actually like the interface.

Also, the Samsung Main Menu has no icons in it.

are you trying to "USE" WidgetPlus? I mean are you trying to get the TouchWiz2 interface to come up or are you just wanting the Widgetplus welcome screen to show?

Samsung menu should have .png icons in the OEMApps folder. I think they start with "icon_"

I was thinking about trying to cook back in WidgetPlus, but I haven't tried it yet. Plus I took so many files out, I have no idea where to start.

What Main Menu are you using? Not sure about the default Omnia 2 version, but the one from the T*Omnia also starts with no icons in the menu.

Was wondering same thing. I cooked a rom and when I select the widget plus in "Items to Display" it'll show up for a second then go away. I copied all files that I thought needed to go in \windows\onlinewidgets\ but still no luck. If someone could figure this out, would be great. I actually didn't remove it from my cooked rom, so it must have been a file I removed on accident or a reg key.

I don't know exactly how to put it back in as I don't plan on using it. it was slow and unresponsive for the most part. did you look in OEM_Lang_0409\initflashfiles.dat for the proper widget files?

also i did a bit-wise search for the word "widget" in the OEM folder and here are the files listed...

Here is the search printout, I don't know if it will be helpful or not.

Anybody find any more info? I've noticed that the dump we all use for our roms does not include the complete file set. I am still searching for what files are missing. So far, I have replaced the missing cityID files and that app works now. I assume we are missing some files for WidgetPlus as well.

Okay I was able to re-extract the samsung dc23 official rom (AGAIN) and this time when I flash, the samsung widgets stay working (not flash and go away).

So I compare the OEM folders and they are IDENTICAL down to the bit, except for the .rgu in OEMApps

these are the lines listed in my new dc23 extract starting on line 2601 (line after "HomePageURI"="http://converge.vzwwap.com"):

I don't get it, it makes no sense but I will post a new kitchen of dc23 and post it for those who actually use the widgetplus system.
