Ok now im stuck in the installing amon ra....it says missing winapi.dll from the system...what should i do (sorry for beeing pain in the ass guys)

Yep, you should do it manually.

GL, do all the next steps easily now and hopefully you'll get vibration on.

Later report back if anything else has improved, reboots for example.

New member here (although I have been watching this forum with great interest, of late).

I have no reason to believe that this guys intentions aren't genuine. I have been also following a chinese forum (with the wonders of google translate) and some of the guys over there are creating new roms with Paul's and Bobo's version. Check it out here:

Do u still have access to recovery menu, and are you still able to flash nand backups so for example you could go back to cupcake MCR?

Could you also try to flash 1.5 again?

Because Bobo also has a (nearly) fully working rom but he can't return to 1.5 and he doesn't have root :rolleyes:

If someone could confirm you can return to 1.5 and recovery and all I would be really happy :D

Well even if you can't get to 1.5 from this point just flash the December update and it should be fine. Also root is working, vibrate is working and all is well in vanilla land:D

No way back to 1.5, but root works.

Well, this one is a 1.5 rom, so you can do the rooting and amon-ra happily. After that, our 2.1 (upd7 in this case) is root.

But it updates hardware, so - as somebody mentioned it - 1.5 will be instable.

Are you sure the t-mob dec update will work once updating using the chinese rom or whatever it is? Would be great if someone could try that...

Now could somebody with a T-Mobile Pulse try this out please? The Chinese forum seems to say that this rom is 1.5 but once installed you can't go back to the original ROM. I wonder if MCR will work?

Anybody got an idea what this update is actually doing to the devices? Is it resizing the partitions like the Huawei 2.1 rom as well as upgrading hardware firmware?

No one can be 100% certain till we get a confirmation that someone tried it (at the moment i want to relax from flashing ROM's, at least for a day:D). But from all the flashing and reflashing and so on it's apparent that you can push any update you want to. After that just amonra recovery and MCR... hopefully?!

Hey maybe you should start working at the vanilla rom after applying this, no? Maybe even we will have a smaller list of errors for the systematic cleanup.

Then this is excellent news. As long as it doesn't change the partition layout then updating to 2.1 should allow us to drop back to 1.5, but using this file. Does seem to indicate that we won't ever be able to use the original roms any more. Do I care? Not in the slightest lol.
