I can't find some apps I've been using on 1.7.

For example: contacts manager - since I've exported my contacts with this,being unable to install it again gives me a headache

For Background searching I use backgrounds but when I set wallpaper in the app,the wallpaper of the homescreen is zoomed in.

Any ideas?

Wish I could go back to 1.7?

BTW,can I switch back somehow to 1.7 MCR?

First one doesn't have a2sd.

I thought so too :( Just somebody claimed it is, so I decided to give it a try.

Second one has a2sd+ and to use it you need to clear your ext partition then verify it in recovery.

Actually I just created ext partition as before I didn't use A2SD at all. When I reinstalled it again, I ran all possible wipe options inclusive ext partition. Anything else I could do?

Market issues are definitely related to the product key in build.prop and I remember that r6.1 used the key from the HTC Legend to fix the Market. Is this something we will need for this rom also?

Said this a page or two back but try Eris Market Fix from the market, I see Autostart (Root) in my market using T-mobile UK

Out of interest on 1.7 MCR lots of the market apps have stopped working - including contacts manager that now wont install. I think google have changed something or the pulse has been changed.

Ah, sorry. Missed that.

I'm currently testing if it's better to use the Droid fingerprint or the Nexus.

And autostart (root) isn't the right app.

I believe the Eris fix makes the phone use the nexus fingerprint... facebook seems to think im using a nexus :(

I'm currently using build.prop with these:

ro.build.description=passion-user 2.1-update1 ERE27 24178 release-keys

and waiting for the market to refresh on my phone to test.

I've cleared the Market cache and set Market Enabler again, rebooted and I've lost apps. I wonder if this is due to the rom using a test key?

You need to run Market Enabler on every reboot, it forgets what you did at startup. If that doesn't help I have no idea what's the problem. Cheers!

I've stopped using MarketEnabler and going down the hardcore build.prop editing route.

AAAAAah!

I've rebooted the phone,and now the apps,I've installed are gone.

I even have problems with reboot.The phone stops at android text.If i take out the sd card then put it back while booting,it starts fine.

I think I'll start all over.(Wish I haven't switched from 1.7....I miss it)

Went to recovery and cleared dalvik-cache and repaired SD EXT, rebooted and NO acore FC :(

Any thoughts on replacing the sqlite binaries, it was reported in other threads that using the HTC ones sped the phone up?

adb remount (to get the device in read/write mode)

adb shell (to create a shell :o)

Then you can use standard linux file commands (cd, ls, rm etc)to navigate the file structure and delete what you don't want.

Oh, backup first just in case you go deleting something you shouldn't have :(

Or go to setting > applications, next change the filter and find the apps and click. Finally uninstall.

Yep, it works. All that Eris Market Fixer does is edit build.prop to change the fingerprint to another device (Verizon Droid). I've made the change manually and packaged it into a rom for future flashes. It works.

Im currently having an issue with using the Hero Keyboard the HTC.IME doesnt work gets a force close error whenever its loaded.

And more annoyingly how to you just select My contacts instead of all?? Very annoying!!

The contacts problem is due to how your contacts are listed in Gmail. I had the same problem and I found that email addresses were set up as contacts on Gmail. A quick delete solved the problem.

I just unchecked them from the My Contacts group in Gmail.

But they arnt in My contacts they are in All contacts? My contacts is sorted fine with all my contacts ive added. All has anyone that has ever emailed me?

I could go through and delete them but im sure there is another way

Also if anyone has a working copy of HTC_IME.apk for this Rom that would be great ive checked about 5 versions lol and no luck.

Is everyone using standard?
