I've done everything that is meant to be done, but when I try to update from zip about half way through I get the following message:

E:Can't chown/mod /data/dropbear/ .ssh

(No such file or directory)

E:Failiure at line 363:

set_perm 0 0 0700 DATA:dropbear/.ssh

Installation aborted.

Any ideas?

Just installed this MCR.. the front screen icons seem to be switched wrongly.. any ideas ? (is it safe to install the hungarian customized update )

Install HUNGARIAN_FIX....that will fix your icons,it is safe

i wonder were paul is, im runing stock rom, this rom i think this is a little too buggy , but i love pauls work :)

He has recently got a Dell streak, so I think it will be some time before he starts work on Pulse again :)

Yeah I had a few things off my other installation still on my MicroSD card. Wiped it clean apart from the zip file and my nandroid backup and it worked fine.

Install HUNGARIAN_FIX....that will fix your icons,it is safe

just installed the hungarian fix.. Icons have now been fixed.. Many thanks :)

Ok theres loooooads to read through so I apologise for being really noobish, If I install this, with a2sd/+ (r15) will that be with the funky new partitions? I really don't know what to do...

i have a really annoying bug. when i receive a call from a private number,

it shows up as one of my contacts in the call log even though the call was not from that contact.

it shouldnt allocate a contact name to a private number anyway... bu when i click on that name it says private number :)

Also another bug? whenever i send "balance" to 150 (tmobile) i receive a message back but the

sender of the message is "YOUR" while it is supposed to be "150"

BTW i am running this r7 MCR

Well I managed it, turns out to be really easy. Cheers Paul. Just a couple of things I'm getting serious amounts of FCs. What did I do wrong?

now got this installed but i hate the contact manager on it, i cant work out how to change it and am pulling my hair out. ive been looking all day and no one seems to mention anything about it.

if it helps i had the shadow 2.1 build previously and the contact manager on it was great. i feel like such an idiot.

It is a T-mobile contact manager :)....it is a bit tricky to change and I'm not sure that I'm willing to explained to you (I don't want to swear me :) ) ...any way search the forum about Vanilla dialer or something like that, there is explanation how to do it.

I haven't experienced the call log bug yet (as I haven't received any private number calls!) but I'm getting the same thing with 150 being called "Your", which is the first word of the message curiously enough. It's not a major bug but it is annoying!

I am facing the same bug as well. Also if a contact has multiple numbers, when clicking call it shows a different name !!

Moreover it is slow as hell.. takes 10 seconds at each screen...

2.1 is exciting but these basic issues really spoil the fun.

i can confirm this bug. Private numbers show up as if someone else from my phonebook would have made that call.

I think it could be because the davlik cache is still on the phone.....so whilst the app gets installed on the SD card, the cache uses the phone memory. Someone will confirm this.

You can use an utility like TA Utility.

Again, someone may want to confirm this, but unless you have a Class 6 SD card then I don't think it's advisable to do that.

How many Apps are you likely to install? If it's only one or two then I wouldn't worry about it too much. I have a similar problem on my phone but I don't install many apps so it's nothing to worry about to be honest.
