I flashed beta 2 and have a problem with ringtones...I know the default tones were removed but the other tones say file corrupted or unavailable when I try to select one...I also tried to install the default samsung ringtones but I get the same error message when I try to select one of them as well...There are no working ringtones, Please Help!

Have you tried a soft reset? This happened to me, and a soft reset fixed it.

Edit: And also, I removed the tethering temporarily, until I can figure out why WMwifirouter doesnt like it.

Yes I did, still no luck...I will try reflash and see what happens

Still have a problem with ringtones not playing in beta 2 even after reflash and soft reset...also cannot change call alert type from ring, vibrate, none or any other choice...I think I will flash back to beta 1 for now...Thanks

Yikes did not catch the no ring tones! Will flash beta 1!

vibrate does work. Ring tones do not, when you go into phone options, it wont let you save or exit (yes, even if you map a button for the ok function)

And in .1 everything works fine correct? Looks like im going back to that as a base. And i'll just add things back in slowly to pinpoint the cause.

IM reflashing .2 to try again. Is it necessary to do the *228 to reprogram after flashes now with octan?

I've never had to do that, I don't even know what *228 does lol >.<.

Yes, I reflashed with beta 1 and it seems to be working well

yes, ringtones worked in .1 no you don't have to do a *228 when you flash. if you hard reset it after you flash it will prompt you to *228 to program your phone.

Once again, I'm very glad you guys like it. I've been slaving(6-7 hours a day) over my computer for the past week to get this thing working, and now I have a rom that just a week ago didn't even exist. I just started cooking 2 weeks ago.

Can you please tell me where i can find the My Text and Quick Text files> i would love to be able to extract these and edit them so that i can keep a copy and not have to make the additions using the tools in messaging each time i flash.

I have no idea where they are, but I'll take a look for you. I think someone on this forum might have found their location, so try a search i guess.

yeah i would have thought so too but no one seems to know the answer (i did a search for it, i also posted it as its own topic). somebody has to know the answer. The other bad part about it is that there are two files: My Text, which i think is samsung and Quick Text which is microsoft. i'd appreciate any help you could give me on these.

I think I found them. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Jataayu\messaging\quicktext

Every PC I have owned as been overclocked!

I love overclocking. I have an Intel Core i720 running at 4.3 (stock is 2.66) on air. Sweet Right?

Bad news guys, my hdd got corrupted and I didn't back this stuff up, It'll be awhile before the next release.

Edit: Look's like i'll be releasing a lite rom first.

Looking forward to the next release! Been running .1 beta for two days now (running great except for overclocking) and have not seen any other issues that have not already been listed.. btw, my HD is permanently corrupted ;)
