Guest shadowangel Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 (edited) i didnt, mini5.1 is for Nokia and lower end feature phones, not for WM, i suppose. I'm getting good at this man :) take a look... just got out of the oven :D Download link: Attached Oh... I'll consider it a RC3... new WM version can have some unknown bugs... :P Some updates: * Removed Twitter and Stock (cabs attached - Untested, please feed me back) *** Reset after install - if you want both (even after installing one) install the package with both * Removed ezInput (there are cabs out there) - reason: limited language support (mine is not...) * Included Samsung Keypad * Fixed Internet Search Engine (see pic)JE2_2016_21908_RC3.txtRC3_Rapidshare_Mirror.txt Edited July 13, 2010 by shadowangel

Guest Lancez Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 do we need csc in flashing this rom? any english CSC would work.
Guest shadowangel Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 (edited) how can i get opera mini as defualt browser? Opera Mini is java based, ain't it? I don't think you can make it default... do we need csc in flashing this rom? I don't flash with CSC... you can flash it without any CSC :) Edited July 9, 2010 by shadowangel

Guest jebise Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 (edited) my only consirn is RAM your 6.5.5 version had 159MB but this current version is showing 144MB, is it set to the default pagepool of 6.5 which is 20MB might wanna bring that down to at least 15MB. I say this because even with the first personal 6.5.5 version i have seen my RAM drop to like 22MB and after a fresh boot i have around 65MB Still hoping for a 6.5.x version so like it to much, like i said is there not a way to use the 6.5 kernal but 6.5.x taskbar etc? Edited July 9, 2010 by jebise
Guest speedfrog Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 (edited) it is 144mb ram because in 6.5.x you get more mb ram, the PP size is still the same Edited July 9, 2010 by speedfrog
Guest Lancez Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 (edited) and 6.5 is set to pp 15mb you can use SKTool's shadow service to free up RAM in the background, i'm getting 50mb around all the time. Edited July 9, 2010 by Lancez
Guest jebise Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 (edited) from what i remember pagepool on 6.5 was set to 20MB and i maybe wrong. But even if 6.5.x gives us an extra 5MB which is again if i think im right having pagepool set to 15MB is the reason. It still dose not add up to 159MB which the 6.5.5 version has. 144+5 =149 still 10MB short of what it used to be. currently i'm sitting at 58MB with no apps open after using it the entire day and with s2p open i get around 50MB. Which gives me plenty of RAM to have messaging open and a few other apps like opera and from what i remember 6.5 should use less RAM then 6.5.x so in theory we should have more available RAM and the fact that alot of things have been removed from 6.5.x which should give us a little bit more. Shadow has done a great job but i still think he need to somehow give us more RAM and not less and maybe someone can explain what has changed that uses around 20MB vs 6.5.5 version?? to the guys that flashed it it seems it has the samsung keyboard dose that mean it crunches the messaging tab like rapid81 did? P.S I hope you have a nice trip Edited July 9, 2010 by jebise
Guest speedfrog Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 to the guys that flashed it it seems it has the samsung keyboard dose that mean it crunches the messaging tab like rapid81 did? SMS tab is working for me :)
Guest jebise Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 great i will have to try this out when i get my omnia back from service, although i hate 6.5 i used to hate 6.5.x because of the ugly icons but people have created get skins and i like having a big X at the bottom vs the top corner.
Guest speedfrog Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 i found a bug in the 6.5 RC3 version, when i press the top bar it goes to samsung large indicators and sometimes it goes to htc notification.
Guest Lancez Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 wait 'til next week, there will be final 6.5.5 and 6.5. the sense build shadow uses is 2016, rapid's is 2011 or 2015 (can't remember), 2016 consums more RAM than older builds. but it is faster than older ones. i guess we just can't have everything :)
Guest Lancez Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 (edited) i found a bug in the 6.5 RC3 version, when i press the top bar it goes to samsung large indicators and sometimes it goes to htc notification. disable the large indicator in samsung settings, it'll be fine. it was in the RC2 as well, but i guess u didn't try RC2.
