The usual way, flashed amon-ra first, then the update.zip. You can also use the boot image jonuwz posted, I was able to gain root through adb, however I can't get a2sd to work properly... Don't know what changes flibblesan an BigBear made to it to get a2sd to work with FLBMOD, I'd appreciate some help from them.

a2sd seems to work at first and then it simply stops and it says that it can't mount the sdcard, which is weird... Also it might be that I tried the latest darktremor, which seems to have JIT incorporated, which I didn't notice...

When i try and flash the amon-ra it says sending but when it gets upto writing it closes the dialog box and my phone dosent display anything :S

Never mind, i actually tried the recovery and it worked, maybe should have tried that before aha :)

Hmmmmn, I followed this guide, to the letter as far as I know. And once I had installed the December Update and rebooted my telephone I had no touchscreen. I pressed onwards in the hope that wouldn't matter only for the Swedish 3 update to fail. With no touchscreen with which to enable sd card mounting I transferred the December Update using AMON RA which also failed to up date when I ran it, either as an unzipped dload folder or flashing the zip file whole. Either way it told me the files were not signed. Eventually I ran the Hungarian update again putting me back where I started and still not free from the pink plague.

Does this mean I'm in some way locked in to the Hungarian 2.1? Not that I have anything against Hungary but I was looking forward to the vanilla charms of Sweden.

You are supposed to flash the Swiss update the same way you flash the december update (unpack the file to /sdcard/dload/), not flash it as a zip update through amon-ra.

That's what I did, I only started using amon-ra to get stuff onto the sd card once the update had failed.

Edit: We're all fine here now. No idea what happened earlier but it has all updated properly now. Clearly I was having a bad afternoon.

Will test this out but first i will do a nandroid backup i forgot that last time i edit the build.prop file and some thing got messed up so i had to do everything from scratch again :D

Pain in the ass to do all that again.

But a BIG Thank you for the file =)

Due to the lack of a rooted and A2SD enabled Tre rom, I've made one.

I've flashed it onto my phone with A2SD and root and it installs and boots fine. Other than those two it's a standard rom. Should work for everyone that could use the Tre rom in the first place.

Get it here: tre21rom-rooted-su.zip

Flash through recovery and do a full wipe of data, dalvik and SD.

I won't be producing any updates to this rom. It's just to help the community and maybe start as a base for people to make their own modifications to.

It works on my Pulse. Should work on other Pulse devices, but not sure about U8220-6 or U8230 devices. I know one person with a U8220-6 reported no wifi.

Cant move Dalvik to SD (phone freezes and when it is restarting get in boot loop)

In the middle of installing apps he just unmounted ext partition and reboot,after that the apps that I installed on SD was no longer there

Can you try installing an older A2SD like http://www.darktremor.info/files/a2sd/a2sd...e3r1-signed.zip please? Just flash it through recovery and dont wipe anything.

Nice one.....Im waiting for the new update from you.......

I never had any prob with your ROM only sometimes the phone freeze (usually is when im reading book in Fbreader and you need to pull out the battery)

You miss understood.....he was talking about FLB ROM......

Fibl posted rooted and a2sd Tre ROM......but I never get ed a2sd to work....too buggy for me

Quick update for people running that lovely Swedish Tre ROM and have been trying to use the flashable update I provided without success.

The issue 'seems' to be with the latest A2SD version (2.7.5 test 2). As it works on my device I've not been able to fix the issue, but the older version works so I've updated the ZIP to incorporate A2SD 2.7.1 update3r1 (as used by flb-mod so I know it works).

If anybody wants to try this one then you can download the rom from the same address tre21rom-rooted-su.zip

If you currently have the older rom installed (with the new a2sd) then you should be able to solve your issue by installing an older A2SD zip.

Your combo is the best...the TRE 2.1 is very good with all the swedish stuff in it and you opened it up for us :-)

...one thing i miss that i had on my HTC Magic was Wifi Tethering...for now the U8220 is not supported.

...one thing i miss that i had on my magic was Wifi Tethering (i had it on my HTC Magic...for now the U8220 is not supported.

Install Barnacle WiFi Tether, and you will have it on the Pulse also :)
