tagging text to the end? you mean when you reply you have to erase what they said? or something else?

I'm still looking into the reply issue.

I now have a weird problem with this ROM after using it pretty much issue-free for a couple weeks.

I finally added a POP3 mail account, and I get the emails just fine, but I'm unable to open them. Tapping on the message seems to do nothing. (whether using the Samsung mail app or the native mail app).

Tap&Hold works fine to delete messages, but I cannot find any way to open them. Even chosing reply or forward does nothing.

Any ideas?

I have been using 1.1 since the release (I pestered him enough about it lol) and I love this ROM. I almost never go below 70MB of RAM free, and the battery life is great. I love jinbox, it just looks nicer, thought I don't have any problem with the messages like people are reporting, it doesn't attach anything, though I do have mine in threaded SMS not normal...

Ok if I know that you're working, I might have something cached on my storage or SD card from a previous ROM. I will try some stuff to make this work.

Thank you for the ROM..!

One Question, tho; I might have missed something.

In the Samsung settings I have it set for the "X" button to close applications, but it only minimizes them? I have tried tapping and pressing and holding- I have to use the task manager or switcher to close applications.

Is this normal? (from moving the start/"X" buttons to the bottom in 6.5.x)

Is there a solution. like a showcase fix.

This is normal for 6.5.x

I don't know of any program that "close" apps with the x button, I just use task manager.

AE button Plus can assign close to a button. It can assign different actions to single, double, tripple, and long clicks.. which I love on the Omnia since is has too few buttons. this doubles the number of button based actions you can have. free version has rare nag screen.

My mail problem went away after a hard-reset. I may never know what caused it :P

Ok since you will hopefully be updating this ROM when the new VZ update is released, I'm going to put in a couple of requests for tweaks to this ROM. Would love if you have time to look at them when updating. I actually wish I could cook up a ROM myself, i have the skills to to such stuff, but I dont have the *TIME* to learn about the innards of WinMobile.

1. For some reason every time IE launches it comes up with "Internet Explorer cannot download blank." and thne you have to hit cancel, and it will work fine from then on. (This happens whether IE is started directly, or launches from a link in another app)

2. I've never been able to get the Samsung calendar/mail/sms apps to properly be the system-defaults. I think this would still qualify as "Stock" for this phone.

3. If there's any way to re-enable haptic feedback for all places, I'd love to see that. In older roms i would get vibrate "bumps" even when scrolling through the WindowsMobile honeycomb start menu. I dont with this ROM for some reason.

1. is because the vzw default homescreen has been removed. I personally like this tweak but then again i never use pie

also xtask closes apps by pressing x

These are good suggestions, I will look into these as *TIME* permits (couldn't resist). I'm currently working on a new sense rom with help from NRGZ28 (aka da man!)

I just installed this rom and had a question. When I click in the top left hand corner, touchwiz comes up (menu) but if I hit windows button the default windows comes up. Also, it doesn't come with "touch to unlock" anymore. Any ideas?

I'm not sure if this is a request or if you are not understanding the ROM I built.

This is my version of STOCK. Yes the touchwiz menu (aka mainmenu.exe) will appear when you tap the upper left part of the screen (due to start.dll).

Windows button on the bottom left will bring up the windows start menu. This is how WinMo 6.5.5 works. I'm not sure if you are asking why the start menu comes up or if you want mainmenu to come up when you hit the windows button.

Also Touch to Unlock was removed from this rom as I HATE using it. You can look a few posts back, I posted a cab that will re-install it if you like.

Ok, I was trying to solve this myself through the registry before posting again, but I am getting sort of desperate. I originally posted that web content: http/html/xml stuff embedded in 3rd part apps did not display under this ROM. The problem is more widespread. Web links in docs/e-mail etc will not open in any web browser for me. In the reg all these files are associated with iexplore.exe. I have tried changing the associations to \windows\iexplore.exe (the real location of the exe in this ROM), \program files\Opera Mobile 10\opera10-armv4i.exe, and even tried using the old opera 9 exe that is still in the Windows folder. I found a cab at XDA that was meant to "truly" make Opera 10 the Winmo default and it also failed to direct web links to any browser. Can anyone help?

I attached the XDA cab below if that helps. It really sounded like what I needed, but no dice.

Refresh my memory, did iexplorer not open ub web content, or are you just trying to use opera?

I'll look at the cab and see what can be done. I usually don't use links, as this is mostly a "toy" for me, but I'd like to help if I can.

When an e-mail or doc has a link in it nothing opens at all. I am not sure if IE worked to do this prior to installing Opera 10 as default. (I dislike IE on mobile for some reason). I will reflash and not install O 10 and see if IE provides this functionality.

You mean you have never pressed a link in an e-mail expecting the web browser to open it? If I sent you an e-mail that said: hey, look at this - http://lh4.google.ca/abramsv/R7pjCqoD44I/A...40de43a540a.jpg

you would never tap on it? (That is assuming you trusted the source)

You are making me feel like a freak (which is normal for me).

i have experienced this too.

The first tap sometimes wont open my email links even though the connecting to box shows up.

I have found that tapping the link again opens opera with no problems

I wonder if this is similarly related to my problem with IE that I described:

1. For some reason every time IE launches it comes up with "Internet Explorer cannot download blank." and thne you have to hit cancel, and it will work fine from then on. (This happens whether IE is started directly, or launches from a link in another app)

Perhaps the URL handler is somehow broken?
