i had some problems with the vista install. so i tried unrevoked.com/m/ and downloaded a apk. installed it and then tried it. The program said the desire was rooted. Very easy..do you guys think is the same version? if so i can recommend this method

I used it as well... how can I verify if it actually worked?

Check whether you have the "Superuser Permissions" app or the "su" command from adb shell.

i dont think the version of unrevoked/m/ works. i mean the apk installs good and runs. than the software sais that the rooting is done. but if i try to install a program which needs root acces there is a fail.

i gonna try on linux..

For those stuck on the debug message, set the phone into debug mode:

Menu

Settings

Applications

Development

USB debugging - Tick this

Should work once you reconnect.
