Two pages deeper in this thread, there is a link to download a F6 version which is supposed to be 6.5.3. I cannot download this because the figures which I am supposed to type before the download starts never load. Anyone else try and share maybe?

Someone know how to fix the black texts (buttons are dark and the chars on it is black) on the samsung keyboard? it's very useless in sunlight... :(

Okay I solved it... needed to edit some xml in the windows folder :huh:

XT9_QVGA.Keyboard.English.Portrait.xml

XT9_QVGA.Keyboard.English.Landscape.xml

Have to modify the values 0x000000 to -> 0xFFFFFF ;)

using it for few hours, the gps bug is gone but the volume bug still there compare to je3.

The CSC is from JF6 as it seams to be the last multi langage available (CSC_I8000NXXJF5.CSC)

I can say that only change for Lite version between JF6 and JG2 is Phonesettings.

Exept some branded CSC (specialy the french SFR witch is the very worst of all !) the CSC is not very important.

If your natural language is english, I suggest you to use XEU .

I leave in China but I'm french, so I'm using XEF. and my phone work perfect either with SIM from China, Thailand , and France too.

Now, NXX are European ROM, if you need chinese language, you need to look for HZU or CHN ROM (I8000U also).

And, if you really want CSC from Singapore, look for CSC XSO or XSP or BGD.

i picked a csc from the multi csc provided. i chose XEU csc and the language is UK english.

so it could work for u.

however, i notice 1 thing. The 1st time i flash i didnt flash eboot. my previous firmware was JD1. Then i notice the free ram is 77mb n program launching speed time is fast. After verity my phone is running fine. I flash JG2 eboot n the full set. I now notice the free ram is only about 64mb. n program launching speed seems slower.

overall notice everything works a lot faster. will continue testing.

I have tried this ROM JG2 and I have encountered a problem with Opera 9.7: I cannot connect with www.gmail.com or Google Reader because when I enter my login credentials, the browser don't load the next page. Have you had a similar problem with another 6.5.3 ROM?

Samsung is not updating WM at all. Also WM 6.5 ROMs have always the same WM build. 23103 is 231xx branch, so I am using 23135 for my lite up to now.

No. I meant that also WM used for 6.5 based ROMs is not updated to latest.

About newest version, I meant that choosing between different branches of WM 6.5.x available out there I prefer to stay with 231xx branch to stay aligned with the one Samsung is using.
